I didn't say Wasps don't want CCFC there, its just they don't want SISU there. Hoffman has already stated that he sees no problem with his consortium doing a deal with Wasps. Perhaps there is a deal available to Hoffman's group, that won't be available to SISU. You could hardly blame Wasps if that is the case.
At this present time the only credible ground for us to play at is the Ricoh, a new ground has already been ruled out by Fisher. The Butts is just another Fisher fantasy,no more credible than the once fabled new stadium.

That was in May before the £30M figure was talked about in court.

It was said after they knew they were being sued. Which is what I was replying to. Would Wasps want to work with a company who is/will sue them? It would appear they do.

Wasps appreciate that, while CCFC is the name that is behind the court cases, the action is not being taken by people who run CCFC on a day-to-day basis.

SISU are chasing this action and are using CCFC as their vehicle to driver their court appeals.

There ever so understanding. It's why our academy is under threat as none of the other 17 sites were suitable. I'm tired of Wasps being painted as doing nothing wrong. The only thing Wasps (Owners) appreciate is money. Hence why I said they will deal with us as they want naming rights. They don't give a shit about our owners or how we are run. Just that we assist in helping their business plan.

Despite SISU's claim against them, Wasps may still:
  • Recognise that being seen as willing to talk to CCFC is probably still better PR than not
  • See CCFC's presence at the stadium as beneficial to them
  • Think that the next appeal might be SISU's last rites (hopefully)

Sorry, but not sure where to ask this one.
Did any supporters get punished for invading the pitch during last season's protests. Seem to remember strong words from the club but didn't see or hear much afterwards. Cheers

Sorry if it's been covered, but with this new appeal are we any nearer to a point where they can't make any more appeals or challenges and just have to get on with either football or fucking off?

The statement is them trying to separate the club from this case and implies that any distraction or cost from it will not have any effect on the playing side of the club. Well, if this is the aim of this statement i don't think it will work with the majority, most just want them to stop dragging the club down with this constant aim of trying to detach the club away from its city.

These people cannot say the case will not effect the club or have no implications to the future of the club, everything they do effects the club, others parties involved or any potential party that could help in the future would look at this situation. They again are treating fans like we are uneducated inner city morons that will follow them blindly into the abyss. These are not actions of those wanting or caring for relationships within the city to build a strong future, these are placing themselves and the club in a position to cry and claim to be the victim to the FL so they can once again take the club out of the city.

This is very disappointing but not shocking news, this is what they do, but now they are changing the wording to split them from the club as to make fans believe they are not hurting the club in there pursuit of financial reward. They should never expect or deflect fans away from the true aim or seek excuse's for what they are doing now for past errors in investment. Using their failure and holding our club to ransom and asking us to support is the true statement of today, not the bollocks they put out. We are dying of a thousand slow cuts with these in control and while the club can run on the income from the fan base these will keep finding reasons not to sell and go to court in hope of a different outcome.

Lastly, I know its not a question we could answer with fact, but a win in court making it possible for a compensation package awarded or a bid to the value of what they deem good, how long would these hang around for? My guess is all of about 10 mins without a statement, without a second thought of any fan of the club, they need you now, but soon as they are ready they will never look back or value your opinion or money once they have walked. Some might be asking today, why would i then allow myself to support this situation. All have the right to decide what they do and i support that, no matter what the individual decides today the vast majority of us will consider this as another awful day for this club. The future with the club in the city is very uncertain the future of the club with these in control is a day nearer the end of the club as we know it in my opinion.

Wasps done nothing wrong?

Why do you frequently try to make out that others have said what they haven't? Just in case you haven't noticed, this thread is about legal matters. So what have Wasps done that is legally wrong? What has CCC done that is legally wrong? Now if we were talking about morally wrong it would be a different matter. But we are not.

The quote I had used insinuated Wasps were understanding, that they appreciate it's SISU taking legal action not CCFC. My point was I'm fed up of being told by CCFC fans how Wasps are understanding and we only have to ask. I haven't made out people have said anything, nor do I frequently do it.

So why have they not announced a naming rights deal then? Why does it seem that any deal hinges on CCFC's commitment to the arena?

If CCFC are as big an irrelevance as people like you and Italia say, please tell us all why Wasps haven't managed to secure a deal for naming rights. Despite finishing top of their league. Despite the big name signings.

I doubt it's any deal. There'll always be someone wanting the naming rights. The problem is likely to be the uncertainty effecting the terms rather than nobody wanting the naming rights unless CCFC are there. It's very possible that Wasps are holding out until the uncertainty has gone away before selling the rights. It's obviously worth more with us there but I would think that it will come to a point where they will sign a deal on the basis that we won't be there for the duration.

I have just explained again and you still don't get it. A poster put Wasps appreciate it's not the club suing them. Now does that not insinuate that they are understanding? Do we not have people defend Wasps on here? Peeler? Italia?

People have said why would Wasps work with a company that is suing them. I linked in the CET article in which Nick Eastwood states that he will talk with CCFC, the article was published after they would have known they were being sued by CCFC. I have never said why would a company work with another company if being sued. Not sure what's difficult to understand.

My biggest frustration about all of this is not SISU appealing, it's what it does to CCFC.

I'm absolutely sick to the back teeth (as I am sure most are) that SISU are able to use our Club as a pawn to try and further their own plans.

Joy Seppala has limited knowledge of our Football Club, SISU have no interest in the day-to-day running of our Club, yet they continue toy with the emotions of all the fans, by dragging out their meaningless act of legal actions - which has far gone the point of which it should of.

CCFC suffers because of SISU, our ST sales have fallen, because fans don't want to invest into the Club, while SISU use CCFC as a toy to further their own motives, yet while the fanbase doesn't invest in the Club, the Club suffers, Mark Robins suffers as he is not able to bring the absolute best to get us out of the position we find ourselves in, within the league strcture. The fans suffer because we can see that the Club is struggling, on and off the pitch yet there is nothing anyone can/will do about it and the governning bodies of the sport, EFL, FA, UEFA & FIFA, all sit back and watch, while the EFL may recycle a statement once every couple of months, which is as useful as a chocolate teapot.

SISU are distressing Coventry City Football Club, as well the local council, a franchise London Rugby Club and a charity.

How is this right and when will it end.. :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

The Wasps owner has said he will talk when legals stop. SISU haven't stopped them. The CET asked him if they will talk. He said yes. They should have asked would they talk with ongoing legals.

So you come out with a couple of names. Makes it good enough to tar everyone else who doesn't agree with you?

CT reaction is predictable - blame the fans;

"Where, exactly, do those who support Sisu by buying tickets and merchandise think the litigation money is coming from? From investors' portfolios? From offshore accounts (thereby eating into shareholders' profits? From thin air?

How explain Sisu's policy of NOPM towards buying top-draw players? How explain TV pundits' and former professional footballers' animosity towards the owners?

Surely even the densest ticket buyers must by now see its time for a 100% boycott."

I am quite ambivalent about this.

I don't really see any logic behind the assertion that SISU are spending money they could otherwise invest in the team. Nor do I think the club is funding the legal action.I also do not have any problem at all with the council's actions being examined in court (even if they have followed the rules).

However, it's all getting tiresome now. We're past the point where it can be undone to the direct benefit of CCFC. As much as I hate saying it, we have to build bridges with Wasps to try and get a deal from them that benefits CCFC as much as is possible. Let them get on with what they do and concentrate on getting us back up to the Championship and then reassess our options.

The club and its staff will continue as ever to work with ACL/Wasps and its staff to ensure the smooth running of the Sky Blues’ matchdays at the Ricoh Arena, and the improvement of the matchday experience for our supporters.
