Used to love going out in Nottingham back in the 90s(before the wife arrived), the place was full of fit birds back then, used to go to a club called renaissance.

Ah, those were the days.

Missed Renaissance back then, was too busy raving. Went to quite a few of the Midlands clubs though, Progress and Shelleys good also. Used to go to DIY parties in Nottingham when I studied there mid-nineties.

Most of the clubs are sausage-fests nowadays. I was in a club not long back moaning to a bloke about there being way too many lads in, before he kindly informed me that I'd stumbled into a gay bar

Progress in derby was done, never went to shelleys, gatecrasher in Sheffield(i think that's where it was), crystals in Leicester, crazy daisys on the A45. Forgot a load more that we'd done. Blimey how could i forget cream up in scouse land lol.

Yes cracking nights out, god knows if the kids of today have anything similar to all those big clubs from days gone by.

I laughed so hard reading this.
There is an old Simpson's episode about Mr. Burns planning to build a casino, and one of the themes presented to him was "Britannia" with a stoop backed woman with bad teeth that asked "Freshen' yer drank, Guvnor?"

The night I went in Mark Morrison was with Mike Tyson's sparring partner. The DJ said the he was the tallest bloke in the room so a 6'5 rugby lad we was with ducked to avoid the attention!

Just done a google search on another club I went to in Bristol in the mid 90s,lakota it was called and its still open with the same name.

I couldn't think of anything worse these days of being in a sweaty nightclub, loved it back then though.

Stocks has gone now,i took a drive over there a few months back,i drove down that lane and was greeted with an old folks home!!

Passion, was that ever called jimmy deans or was that somewhere completely different?

Daisys will soon be flat as theres houses or flats going up on that site. The fake palm trees are still there though.

You can get in the building if you go around the back, but its very dangerous in there.

Good job as they were not letting in football fans after 12.00 so put a bit of a dampener on it.
