First series I enjoyed, trudged through the 2nd but the 3rd and 4th have been great viewing so far

Season 2 is a bit dull, and the final episode is ludicrous, but apart from that, it's fantastic viewing.

Very disappointing for me that.

It was the right ending in the first place and there was no need for the extra twist ending on top

No need for it. It was done and it was the right ending, so why go for that scenario?
