I thought Eccles was pants pretty much through out. Heaved a sigh of relief when Jack came on. Eccles has limited ability to hold the ball under pressure - key attribute for the position he was in.

You weren't also the referee by any chance last night were you?

He missed two excellent chances the 2 nd one he needs to hit across the keeper not straight at him.

I know and agree. Should have scored twice.

He wasn't pants though in the game

The second one he did the right thing, trying to put it through the keepers legs.

The first one was the worse one, completely telegraphed where he was going to go.

He wasn't going to get it through the keepers legs from there , better to put it across him.

I thought he could actually have gone near post.
But off the 3 options, he took the worst one.

On Rushworth again, what is going wrong with his kicking?

On a few occasions I have said this, his distibution is erratic and often gives the ball straight back to the opposition for us to defend again or he kicks it to their keeper or kicks it out of play, that's a real shame because he is some keeper for sure!

Thought generally all were OK. Their first goal was sloppy but I thought we were basically in control.
Solid 7’s. Saka and Grimes 8. Rushworth would have been 8 but for their 1st goal

Entertaining game.
Van Ewijk and Rudoni really good.
Sakamoto also looked really up for it.

Esse I'm a bit unconvinced still, but he's young and you can tell there is a player there.
Maybe we won't see it while he's with us this season though

I’ve said it before, watching on the tv was horrendous - entertaining not, stressful yes! Then I was still awake at 2am I was on such a high. Keep the team’s focus on the next game, Frank, a draw Monday night and a win next Saturday gets us very close….

We can win Monday! I watched Hull playing and I would say pretty average really.

Eccles was really poor for their first goal. No Desiree to get back goal of their centre back and push him away from goal just ambling back.

Their first goal was a defensive shocker. Should have stopped the cross, Rushy should have stayed on his line but Kitching had an age to watch and deal with his man, so basic. For that he gets a 6.

But for the one obvious error I liked the ref.. he let the game flow nicely and was fair to both sides..

Yeah. Blotted his copy book with the pen decision but I thought had a good game. I liked how he played advantage fairly.

Frank seemed to agree but I suspect his comments may have been very different had we not won.

It wasn't kitchings man. Bereton-Diaz was playing on the right, he was Dasilva's man. He made a late run coming in from wide.
