Entertaining game.
Van Ewijk and Rudoni really good.
Sakamoto also looked really up for it.

Esse I'm a bit unconvinced still, but he's young and you can tell there is a player there.
Maybe we won't see it while he's with us this season though

- Milan was superb
- Sakamoto did Sakamoto things (especially off the ball
- Rudoni finishing was prem quality

I love Eccles and JDS but both looked flaggy from the start. Obvs JDS played a lot of footy, I’m surprised he didn’t trust Bidwell tbh and I think I remember seeing Eccles’ mrs has just had a baby? Looked like a man that hasn’t had much sleep.

We’ve played better but that was one of my favourite games of the season tonight. It’s party time from here onwards.

No one was bad. But more proof Simms only has 6 games left as a sky blue I think

Yep I have a feeling we'll have a nibble at Esse in the summer. Clearly has the ability but makes some shite decisions sometimes. That can be coached into him and he'll grow up a bit.

Not exactly the same but Vik looked even more raw one year and came back from a summer a changed man

Thought other than the goal Onyeka was worryingly sloppy in parts. And Dasilva looked very much like someone who’d played 200+ mins of intl football in the break.

Dasilva looked battered second half. Surprised he played the full 90, especially as we're playing again Monday

No-one was very good in the first half, everyone did well in the second.

MvE had a particularly good game, though some of his balls into the box were poor (seems churlish to say that after he got two assists).

He did make some good saves one of the best being the one he pushed for what should of been a corner and was wrongly given as a penalty.

I thought Ecvles started a bit sluggish then got better then got much much worse and looked knackered, Esse pretty pants to be fair, Kitching and Dasilva not great although Jay grew more into the game Simms was garbage but who gives a fuck we won with 2 great goals by Rudddiiii twat of a ref tried to cheat us out of it but Karma lent a hand

First half Eccles was everywhere and must have won half a dozen good fouls. Motm contender if he'd put one of them chances away. Milan back to his best, Rushworth 2 great saves and the pen was a joke. Onyeka great goal and lots of breaking up play, Rudi changed the game.

Another shite ref, only ond big decision in the entire game and got it completely wrong.

So glad the Sky cameras didn't find me after that pen as I think venting my spleen at them calling every name under the sun as Diaz and Travis celebrated in front of us, I'd have become an Internet meme. Thankfully the wife said I wasn't on.

Thought the same about Onyeka, and he gave possession away in the lead up to the 'penalty'.

Frank Onyenka made a right howler just before half time that Derby didn't capitalise on thanks to great positioning and save by Rushworth. Then Derby did likewise shortly after the break that Josh and Ellis on the follow up didn't score from.

Esse both good and bad, Eccles generally good but lacked a finish he got fouled a lot & I thought was in danger of getting a card himself when he did a few himself in retaliation on Derby players who had clattered him. Ellis hasn't seemed very confident with his shots lately.

Once they all went off we looked so much better. Rudi's quick feet were back with a vengence and EMC is so very good at holding the ball, Haji didn't get much joy up front but he was defending well in front of the midfield and I suspect winding up the Derby players a bit.

I think that just about captures it for me. Plus hat tip to Frank for getting the substitutes right.

We badly needed Rudoni's ability to hold the ball, although he did goals instead. For all his quick feet, Esse does not have EMC's ability to control and then protect the ball in almost any situation.

If Rudoni had not won the match Tats was my MOTM

I thought Eccles was pants pretty much through out. Heaved a sigh of relief when Jack came on. Eccles has limited ability to hold the ball under pressure - key attribute for the position he was in.

To be fair they were both on target. After a win we can be polite and say the keeper made 2 good saves.

But for the one obvious error I liked the ref.. he let the game flow nicely and was fair to both sides..

Tonight he was slightly off it and not his normal composure, also he stood off that Clarke guy I think and allowed him to get the cross in that led to their first, passing went arwy for about 10 minutes afterwards, not terrible but just not quite on it.

Was an easy game to ref. Only one big decision to make and got it completely wrong. He can get in the bin with just about every other ref this season.

Why when their GK takes an age to get rid of the ball to his teammates with no penalty or urgency,,was he suddenly rushing Rushworth along when they had quite generous et/It?

Can't remember too many bad ones. A good throw out to Milan and one long kick that Ellis nearly got on the end of that went through to their keeper.

I just remember a succession of them being picked up by the derby defender's he did nearly find Ellis I'll give you that, guess I'm just down on someone, I'll stop now honest!
