I don’t think we can blame every bad performance on injury or rustiness haha. He was simply pure poo pop tonight.

Yeah, well I hardly caught any of the game tonight, so was just wondering.

He's usually pretty steady.

There must be a part of Frank that is thinking the more he plays the quicker he can get rid of his rustiness, as he’s a top 5 championship player when he’s on it

Unfortunately in the proceeding games he’s woeful - was the same at the start of last season

Deep breaths need to be taken all round;
A We play worse against shit teams
B That pitch suited a bunch of cloggers
C The officials were Sunday League
D Frank surely won’t make the same mistakes on Saturday, Wright will be benched again and Dasilva will have to replace a poor Bidwell.
E Its not a midweek kickoff away on Saturday

Yeah, commentators even said he’s usually mr reliable. I was always very pro Bidwell over JDS, but any more performances like that then the latter would be preferable as he at least provides some attacking threat.

The coaches in Franks ear - "Frank, he's soiled himself on the left touchline again"
Frank slowly nodding through teary eyes knowing it's time to take him around the back of the shed.

If only there was some sort of development league that doesn't really matter that we could use to help players regain match fitness and sharpness...?

We had to lose at some point but to do it against a poor derby side with Sunderland, sheff Utd and Burnley coming up makes it a bit worrying, it’s either wheels come off or gives us the gentle reminder we have to be on it for every game, can’t afford anymore performances like that,

It's ok anyway. This is all just part of FL's plan to ensure he doesn't end up with March's Manager of the Month.

I was a little worried about this too, my dad just pointed out though that the teams above us are on shaky ground themselves, a little of the nerves creeping in perhaps? I hope so! Leeds, SU, Burnley and Sunderland not capitalising as yet. Hopefully the pressure gets to the 3 we have to play.

We were never getting play offs the easy way were we, tonight was one of those if only games, like the last 2 mins against Norwich,

Only problem with this is only two in the middle. We’ll get completely overrun in midfield.

Not necessarily - it kind of operates as a 3-4–3/ 5-4-1 hybrid.

alternatively you could play Eccles/Torp/Grimes, then go Wright and Simms up top. It loses the support between ST and Midfield but it’s a much more solid middle of the park

That's just not the Coventry City way is it It did feel a bit like that. Disappointing we couldn't put more distance between us and those behind. The international break will hopefully do us good. Sunderland at home is arguably the best scenario we could of had before the break, will take that over the other 2 whilst we have a few playing with niggles and Rudoni absent.

Sunderland haven't been on form for weeks , they are stumbling along rather than flying like they were before Xmas . Even Burnley seem to be hitting a sticky patch too .
There are points to be gained where we least expect them and we will drop.some ,like tonight, when we least expect too

We played 3-4-2-1 against QPR and kept a clean sheet, or like the Swansea game you go 5-3-2

you go flat 3 across the midfield - Eccles/Torp/Grimes.

it may be time to revisit Simms and BTA - BTA may be shit but he did a lot of the donkey work that made Simms more effective

We may have too - we’ve been at our most solid when playing 3CBs and 2 up top

accommodating them has led to a formation that is making us leak goals for fun. Conceding 2 a game is not sustainable

My dad thinks possibly the best time to play them, he is probably right. Someone from Burnley shown a straight red tonight as well?

Utter shite tonight, Derby won everything. We just never turned up. Bobby T (MOTM) playing in front of Grimes most of the game , that said he was MOTM for me. Play BT as a forward and we will win more games .

There was a result in that for us but putting ourselves under that much pressure from our OWN kick off and conceding that goal at the start of the second half killed the game

Cannot believe we have dropped six points to them

It's this complacency that the winning run has given us. We can't win game after game, at some point you're going to put in a poor performance and get punished - the teams not a machine. It could have been last weekend, the week before, or next weekend. Hopefully they regroup now and focus.
