My own fault, Wingy. Used a parking app, parked in a hotel car park, but didn't read the instructions which said I had to report to reception and give them my reg number. Dumb.

On Saturday we're in a Sainsbury's car park, which is much better.

Another bad one was Preston the year before last. Went into a bus lane, twice, eight minutes apart, two £45 fines!

'Coventry have won just one of their past 21 away league games against Derby (D9 L11); a 3-1 victory in October 2003.'

'Coventry haven't won their opening away game in any of the past seven league campaigns (D3 L4) since winning 2-0 at Grimsby Town in League Two back in 2017-18.'

Still, first trip to Derby

One less midfielder away from home? Unlikely. If EMC is injured then Wright plays left and Simms up top.

4-2-3-1 and 4-4-2 are more or less the same formation. Rudoni and the starting striker sit in a 4-4-2 shape out of possession.

Rudoni and Wright had free roles v Hull and Luton, the play style being different of course but there isn’t much difference.

Lampard doesn’t take any notice of Coventry city’s historical incompetence, but puts a more professional slant on these “ we won’t get a result here “ fixtures , so a massive challenge ahead , on our first away game ……fingers & everything else crossed

I feel a bit pessimistic about this one, for no better reason than we always seem to struggle as their place.

In an effort to cheer myself up, I’m going to predict another clean sheet and Simms or Rudoni to grab us a winner.

I am , but councils and private companies in the UK totally take advantage of people in regards to parking cars.

I go to watch Elche in Spain regularly and there are great swathes of land around the Martinez where people park for nothing, same in all the streets around.
Theres a car park on site like at the CBS, do you have to pay, no !!
My wife has to pay £60 a month to park to work in a hospital in Coventry.
You go to our beaches in Spain, do you pay to park, do you fuck !
We get squeezed here for every penny !

We had some shocking away performances / results at the end of last season. Derby and Plymouth being the worst. The Luton performance had a bit of fight, but that's all. Saying that though, I've been quite impressed from the first 2 games. 4-0 Cov with Derby down to 10 men at some point (red card).

Derby will play the same system as us and Morris will show what is expected of a No 9 in that system. We are fortunate though that they are struggling with several injuries and they do not have any recognised wide players available.

Is the Harvester by the ground the best shout for tomorrow or are there other away pubs?
