If you’d have offered me 4 points from the first two before the Hull game I’d have taken it

I trust Frank and co to sort out the issues. Away win, 5 goals, I’ll have that.

Not many teams in this league could come here and score 5 (and probably could've had many more)

That's what I said, a few games time he'll be moaning. He needs to manage minutes when he can.

Just looks like he doesn't trust his squad.

Not ideal timing. Was a very physical Derby team.

Superb, thought we played some fantastic stuff at times, Derby are nowhere near us. Dodgy at the back though, if anyone from Sheff Utd watched Thomas today, they would quickly advertise their attention elsewhere.

Confident Win against QPR and all of a sudden an odd start, starts to look like a strong start.

Loving watching Frank with the fans now. Mental game but three points all that matters. Winning when below-par will make a huge difference as the team spirit was great. Should be an interesting week in the transfer market too.

It was a really good away performance aside from some errors, on the ball we were excellent and looked miles more dangerous without Sakamoto imo.

Great result and some good performances. Defence still needs to improve. Thought Mason Clark and bta really did well as did grimes and Torp.

That kit looks a totally different colour on TV than it does in person!

Good to get the win, especially after going behind. But we can't go through a season defending like that again. Its the same as last season, and even parts of the season before that. It needs sorting.

Leaving their penalty out of it, the other two goals we conceded were really poor.

God points, Thought Ephron had a good game, they didn't look like they could cope with him. Torp as well, took his goal well to wrap up the game.

Room for improvement certainly.

Sets up the weekend nicely! Great result in the end but shows we have the players to do the job but some work is needed!

This game felt the opposite of last week where we were in control but not getting a result. I think Lampard will be thrilled with the result but not best pleased with how that played out. That said, historically against physical teams like that where it’s a scrappy game, we’ve been 2nd best. Top teams can play poorly and get results. Take it and move on to next week! If you told me we’d score 5 goals before this match started I would have rolled my eyes.

Positives:
•Shown great spirit to fight back from behind against a shithouse of a team.
•5 different goal scorers on the scoresheet, including BTA.
•3 points on the board and +2 GD
•First win at Derby in over 20 years, more shit streaks beaten by FL!
•Torp played well and if he carries on this way, Sheaf will struggle to get back in imo.

Negatives:
•Both MVE and JDS look awful at defending.
•Our defence look all at 6's and 7's when a team attacks with any sort of aggression and purpose.
•Rudoni was virtually non existent for most of that game.
•Rushworth looked shakey. His kicking was worse than prime Wilson, he came and flapped at most crosses and my heart stopped every time. Hope hes just had an off game, but against a team that put it on us, he looked ropey!
•Outside of scoring the penalty, Hadji offered nothing but a heavy touch.

Cant decide:
•BTA. Could easily go in to the negatives for his endless running down blind alleyways, but then reacts fastest for the 3rd goal and keeps a nothing ball alive to for the 5th.

The Underdog City of Middle England* getting exactly what they deserved for playing a shit Pippo Inzaghi tribute act in goal.

Also if anyone has taped the game there's a lovely shot of a very depressed looking sheep mascot in front of that banner at about 76min- enjoy.

THE OLD FIVE

*should someone explain to them the difference between 'Middle England' and 'The Midlands'?

Right, I know many of you are new to association football and have only been watching the game for a very short while, but just to let you know, a match lasts 90 mins plus added on time.

Looking back at this match thread, you would have said we were certainties for relegation.

Anyway, we were the better team the whole game and only wobbled when they got that 3rd goal, which looked to me, like a miss hit.

Lots and lots of posts calling for FL to change things around, but we did constantly look dangerous and obviously now it's been proved the manager was right to leave things as they were.

Defensively, it's still a worry, but if we can keep on scoring goals at the other end, we'll be fine

One thing is clear, whether people agree or not, Lampard prefers BTA to Simms. I do too fwiw.
If he can flip one of them it'll be Simms.

Cracking result, happy Haji is off the mark and happy for BTA getting a goal, Torp is quality and finished his chance brilliantly.

Not only did we win and scored 5 goals, but those Derby supporting wankers who hate Lampard will be furious tonight! Justin Peach and his boyfriend must be livid

Not Wilson, not a chance. He looks like an U21 to me. Keepers need time to develop and learn the game
