it was nice to see that we didnt leak any wanted players and reduced the wage bill further by getting rid of players that had no chance of playing. Although It was a shame to see sheffers leave that way.

Slightly disappointed we didnt bring anyone in but i suppose we could utilise the loan market for that, squad is very thin still and i doubt that the youngsters can last the whole season at this pace.

There are many players not under contract, however I haven't seen a CB who is not under contract that is worth taking the punt on at this moment in time.

There is no point bringing in a player who isn't as good as what we already have. The goal on Saturday would not have been conceded if Jordan Clarke had either cleared up field or put the ball out, his decision making is what cost us, from what I have seen of him at Cb this season he has been that bad..

Just did a quick search. There are thousands. Closer to home there are many. Would a player like Titus Bramble do a job for instance?

Not saying he would join us, but if he had a choice of us or retire would he come.....if considered good enough?

Common sense if you read about the bid turned down for Leon. Usually means the bid was under the market value of what Sheffield offered.

Same for Cyrus.

But the global view yesterday was that they'll sell the family silver, they will accept anything. Now people consider them responsible owners who are so financially stable they can reject offers if that does not fit the strategy. Interesting.

They didnt sell any of our players? Wow I am shocked. SISU must have been telling the truth all along. Maybe they DO care. Maybe they can turn it all around. Maybe its "90%" of the fans that are in fact the ones who have it all wrong.

SAID NO ONE ........ EVER

Tell me anyone who said they would accept any shite offer well under value then?

The most amusing aspect of this waste of a thread is Grenduffy thinking that 90% of fans would want to see the already-thin squad weakened more to find an 'excuse' to criticise SISU.

If you hadn't noticed, the 35 miles down the road to where Coventry now plays football is littered with enough excuses already....

I quoted the 90% as a figure partly because of the NOPM campaign. The deliberate act to starve the club must surely mean an acceptance when the cloth is cut accordingly.

The more pertinent point though is the aftermath of the deadline day. No whopping celebrations the squad is intact. If any has been sold a the usual suspects would have been on here smirking, mocking those who attend, boring us with their inane conspiracy theories and effectively gloating.

Now its like a punctured balloon. Nothing today to moan about.

More like ban me as you can't cope with someone who has a realistic view and instead is far more comfortable with the masses.

Last year of course you'd have wanted banning all the council worshipping happy clappy brigade - cloughie, ginnetta, sky blue !!!! - you know when you were so far up sisu's arse they'd need a mechanical digger to set you free.

I'm not trying to be sarcastic or pick a fight, but what does "is more comfortable with the masses" mean?

Face it, 90% on here were desperate for Wilson, Christie, Clark and baker to go.

Now they haven't I can't wait to hear the reasoning - sisu were only offered a bag of crisps for all four and it wasn't even a grab bag.

Ironic how you claim that everyone else is factually inaccurate ........

Well a definition is this;
masses Share on twitter Share on facebook Share on more

30 up, 4 down
Common people, ignorant masses, etc...
A concept that may be understood as an extremely large group of people all over the world. All of them may not think for their own, either for economical reasons (lack of food/ too much exhaustive work), or just plain ignorance of the human sciences (lack of education).

what a patronising fuckwit you are. Who the hell do you think you are !!!.
Prove to us your're more educated than us, and that's all of us. You claim this and that without proving sweet FA, and then you have the gall to call the rest of us who have different opinions ,"people who lack education".

What a baffoon

Many thanks for the helpful definition.

Perhaps I should have been a little more specific and explained that my query (which was a genuine one) was around the context that the phrase was used in.

I had thought that your whole forum persona was about fighting against what you perceived to be the "mob mentality" and therefore I thought it an unusual choice of words.
