let's be honest, if even one player was sold yesterday, the website would have crashed from the feral and dribbling anti-sisu brigade wanting to come and post

Who did we sign? Let's balance this argument out so which ever way you look at it, yet another shit deadline day for CCFC.
Sisu are in negotiations to sell the club, and the prospective new buyers have insisted no one is sold or bought in. - Only thing that makes sense if you discount Sisu wanting to build a winning team.
Well of course the fact that Wilson/Christie etc not leaving will be a source of relief for most Sky Blue fans, however the expectations of most fans is now so low, that surviving 1 transfer window without an exodus of players is seen as a major triumph.I think what Grendel is saying here is the amount of negative opinion that was so 'certain' we would lose these players - after all it's the devil himself isn't it when talking about SISU - and what they will most certainly do? Especially cashing in right?
Well good news people, it didn't happen and frankly we are all jumping with joy at that one I suspect.
So can we just at least appreciate SISU did not cash in on this occasion and look to be building something strong under Elvis? It may not sit well with your stance against SISU but for once admit it has been a relatively good day for the Sky Blues.
Genuine question, did we bring anyone in?
Genuine question, Do we really need too?

I think he prefers rent boy or cheerleaderYou've turned into a proper sisu puppet haven't you.
Would love to know how you came to the conclusion that it was a shit deadline day..
It strange as everyone was talking like fact that Christie and Wilson were going to leave
Nobody wanted them to leave but it is funny watch everyone backtrack and create excuses like they are also fact
So name one offer that came in that wasn't well under the value of the player? They must have learned their lesson from the past where they have sold for well under value.
This isn't backtracking. This is just stating facts. And if a good enough bid would have come in then it would have been a different story. It would also been accepted as long as any players sold would have been replaced. The problem that most of us have with SISU and selling players is not replacing them.
I just wish someone would bring up the posts where the posters said categorically that they wanted Wilson and Clarke etc to leave ,then this stupid juvenile thread can end
How do you know what was offered?
So juvenile you are participating in it?
Face it, 90% on here were desperate for Wilson, Christie, Clark and baker to go.
Now they haven't I can't wait to hear the reasoning - sisu were only offered a bag of crisps for all four and it wasn't even a grab bag.
How do you know what was offered?
The most amusing aspect of this waste of a thread is Grenduffy thinking that 90% of fans would want to see the already-thin squad weakened more to find an 'excuse' to criticise SISU.
If you hadn't noticed, the 35 miles down the road to where Coventry now plays football is littered with enough excuses already....

Genuine question. Is our defence strong enough and do we have cover for any injuries?
We don't know what was offered
Who did we sign????????? We have owners who are obviously cash rich and do not need fans to keep the club going therefore I presume they have the funds to draft players in, even if they were on a free but no nothing and what amazes me we as fans are at a point where we are delighted nobody left and not bothered about new players coming in.
I will ask you a question, do you really believe that with the players we have that we will carry on as we are all year????? I have even seen the suggestions of promotion, please.
No, the most amusing thing about this thread is how each time Grendel starts an attention seeking post it receives 100+ responses. Why don't you lot just ignore him?
You've turned into a proper sisu puppet haven't you.
He said it would take a ridiculous offer and one the club couldnt refuseElvis even stated that players would be sold if valuation met. Valuation not met so clubs trying to get our players on the cheap. No surprise as we have sold cheaply in the past.
We signed nobody however you have to ask yourself at this current moment is there much in the market that would improve our first 11, the answer is no. I am happy about the fact that none of our more talented players were poached for the simple fact that they are the core members of our squad..
Yes I believe we have a strong capable enough to finish in the top half.
He said it would take a ridiculous offer and one the club couldnt refuse
So we can conclude whatever was offered was less than a ridiculous amount
There's many players not under contract. From what I have seen of us we need to strengthen in defence.
On the financial side there is no rush to sign players. The longer these players are without a club the less of a wage they will accept. After all a lower wage is better than no wage. Then we can afford better/more players for our buck. The only problem is getting a balance of not getting too far behind the top of the table, not missing out on these players going to other clubs as well as getting them to sign cheaper terms.
No idea, however we couldn't have much complaints if we got over 1 mill for players who could leave for 200-300k in the summerCorrect. But we could speculate on what this ridiculous amount was. Did they see 1m as so? I would have seen this as a minimum amount acceptable. Do you really think we got any bids anywhere near 1m for any of our players?
