If City finish the season in their current position of 17th it will be their lowest finish since 1959.

It would also be our 4th lowest finish ever. The only worse ones being in 1928 (finished 20th in Div 3), 1958 (finished 19th in Div 3), and 1959 (finished 2nd in Div 4).

The current average attendance of 2262 is 75% lower than the previous lowest ever league average of 9388 set in 1928.

You are purely stating these figures to further enhance your hatred for SISU. What about ACL/CCC?

Well from an ACL perspective, you would have to say the attendances at the Ricoh this season, on the whole have been shite.

This is the lowest income ACL have received since they were formed, CCC have had their budget squeezed to naff all by the Government and are being forced to move away from their home. they are moving from the City Centre to the outskirts of Cov to a new stadium called Friargate - but to be fair to them, at least it looks like being built :sarcasm:

But with just one concert and charity match, it will attract more people than all of the CCFC home games this season so still a better business

The club is playing in the old third division of the football league in Northampton with a crowd that often is below 2000. The team is made up of loanies and the better players are expected to be sold in the summer. The new stadium is nothing more than a smoke screen and this JR will not be the magic bullet that SISU and their fans think it will be. Most fans (me included) have or are loosing interest. That is a realistic appraisal of the state of the club, the Sixfields Sky Blues will say i'm being negative.

On the positive side I really struggle. Not sure what the state of the developement squad is for next year lets hope its good or its more loan signings. Its possible that the club will pick up fans from the East Warwickshire/ Rugby and Northamptonshire area's. Thats probably it.

I can't work it out. I keep trying. Please tell me what is so good about our predicament. Virtually every other club in our league is above us. None ( I think ) was in administration at the start of the season. We are the only team without a home game all season. We have one of the lowest attendances in the league. We could be liquidated in the close season - has been threatened before. Quite frankly RFC you live in a dream world. Or maybe you are just a wum.

There are no positives at the moment, its shit. However, it has been shit for ages. We've been shite on the pitch for years. I don't think I've enjoyed a season (football wise) since 1999-00 and we didn't even win an away game that season.

Completely agreed. But at least we didn't have a fear of the club folding in the next day, week, month....

Er no it wouldn't. The current league position is a reflection of the club as a whole and an accumulation of 20 years of poor ownership.

Bury your head in the sand if you want, but the facts speak for themselves.

Please someone help him!

You must be in complete denial.
The "true reflection" is reality...it's no good including 10pts that were taken away. Otherwise you may as well go right back to the lost earnings from a European campaign that never happened in 1988/89 due to the English clubs being banned. That income may have brought about an entirely different "reflection" as well!

Bigfatron, I'm old enough to dimly recall the promotion season of 1959. Lol Harvey, Peter Hill, Roy Kirk, Brian Nicholas, Mick Kearns, Ryan, Rogers and Ray Straw and other players. We may have been in the 4th Division then but there was some optimism.
Just look at some of these attendances.
August - Darlington 15,104
Sept - Oldham 10,023
Sept - Southport - 10,085
Sept - Exeter - 14,357
Sept - Gateshead - 16,204
Sept - Aldershot - 15,212
Sept - Carlisle - 19,119
Oct - Millwall - 21,017
Oct - Northampton - 22,281

It went on, with a highest of the season of over 28,000. Lots in excess of 20,000. In the Fourth Division.
It goes to show that the support is there with a tiny hint of success.
These figures put the Northampton fiasco into perspective.
Staying there will be the death of our club.
There are NO positives at Sixfields.
Again and again and again, it is a poor Sisu tactic to get the Ricoh for next to nothing.
Sisu may own our club but they are not our club.
Us fans are CCFC.

Don't forget 5 to 600 at Sixfields are corporate so the real attendance figure is lower

Ecky, so right. I can't wait to see Sisu go. I wanted to throw the dirt on Thatcher's grave, the evil witch bastard that she was. But I'll take greater pleasure in waving Sepalla & co off.
How they ever got sanctioned by the Football League I'll never know. It just shows how sick football is at times.

Yes football as we knew it has gone, look at the west brom boycott Sunday at man city?
They refused to pay £50 a ticket so didn't go.
Man utd owners will call the debt in soon then watch the chaos!

The JR is the magic bullet. It will be the start of the end of this fiasco. Yes there will be appeals but it will decide the outcome.

Ecky, hadn't seen this WBA £56 a ticket at Man City. We all moan about the price of stuff, but this is really taking the Mick. What planet are football club directors on? That's sometimes a half of what some people have to live on all week. Mind boggling.
If we all had any sense we'd turn our backs on football, but we love our clubs.

Whichever way you want to paint it, however many anti-SISU cliches you want to derail the thread with, however many melodramatic suicidal rants you want to go on, we ARE (on the pitch, the green rectangle thing in the middle) a side that is 10pts better in this league than the points tally we have.

Ergo, we're currently a collection of top half players not quite good enough to get a play off place.
