I don't see the club rushing in to replace DL, im sure they will be very divergent in finding the right coach. A fresh face with new ideas within the group is a good thing so although DL did a good job we move on .

Why can’t the narrative be that Lawrence has got a massive job opportunity too good to turn down that furthers his career and is much nearer to his family home?

Rather than pointing the finger at King and blaming him for his ineptitude for not trying to stop him from leaving.

If you are in any kind of leadership position the true reflection of your role (whether this be Robins or King) is that those that work with you, learn from you and then leave for better positions either inside or outside the organisation.

Absolutely brilliant that Denis has secured an assistant manager role and am sure he’s well on the way to becoming a manager.

Only have to look at the best football managers to see that an occasional change of ‘voice’ on the training pitch is a good thing- Sir Alex and Pep both had several changes of first team coach during their successful tenures.

Robins will take his time but if there’s one thing that King is getting right is his support of the manager and am sure we’ll get another excellent coach through the door soon.

People cannot see it, will be the same for anyone that leaves. We are good at the moment but people have got to start waking up to the fact that there are many, many teams that can offer a player or coach so much more than us. Not just in terms of money, but lifestyle, facilities etc. That will never change.

King is a businessman. He isn’t stupid.

Given how King has increased the number of staff in other areas wonder if he might bring in more than one coach and look to have some specialist coaches (i.e. defensive)?

People just love a conspiracy. Guy gets offered and accepts a different opportunity. Must be because he is unhappy never because they would improve their lives in anyway.

Just looks like a good opportunity for him with little else to it. I think they went to open advert last time which is rare nowadays

Absolutely love this quote by DL

“I will take with me the song We Live And Die In These Towns, as I constantly tapped my feet before kick-off at every home fixture."

It's a shame he won't hear it again whilst he's with us

I heard he was leaving from someone at the Rotherham game. Also heard that Vivesh and Robbins are also pissed off. Apparantley there are one or two players messing up the dressing room (the Barnsley boys). I don't see the latter myself as I can't see Ady putting up with any shit.

Makes sense in my eyes. Gives Dempster the chance to step up to first team level for a short period, without leaving us in a situation where we are rushing an important appointment

So Collins, Kitching and Thomas? How are they messing up the dressing room?

I could believe it. Thomas has had a couple of moments and there was that rumour Robins fell out with Kitching and Thomas. None of them ever seem particularly part of the group either.

Playing Devil's Advocate, is that on them? I'd expect existing members of the squad to make new players welcome.

By this logic, Bidwell isn't part of the group. Never see him horsing around with the loud ones. Just gets on with it.

Just because they're not overgrown Tweens like MvE, Tavares and COH doesn't mean they're disruptive or a clique.

Thomas and Kitching always look really well integrated in the Unseen clips. Feels like gossip bullsh*t.

If you watch the unseen you can see there are no “cliques” they’re all a unified squad and some are closer than others but the small squad leads to a tighter nit squad, they’re all sound with eachother, if they werent they wouldnt be here

To be fair, Thomas is nearly fighting with lati on the pitch.

Fight with Lati, shouting at our players on the pitch when he fucks up. Not great stuff.

It’s total gossipy bullshit. I’m just saying it’s not come out of nowhere. Probably Collins got dropped, Kitching got ill, and Thomas had his meltdown on the pitch and people put 2+2 together to make 5. But equally there’s an automatic belief none of it can be true OP isn’t a bullshitter afaict, saddlebrains has said similar. So if it came out as confirmed I wouldn’t be shocked is all I’m saying.

This is all meaningless conjecture really. The same player was criticised for laughing wryly after scoring an unfortunate own goal - now he’s a troublemaker for being too angry on the pitch rather than too light-hearted?

O'Brien used to shout at players when he messed up. There weren't any rumours that he was a trouble maker. Struggling to see Shmmeee's point here.

You’d have to ask people who thought he was too light hearted. I’ve had an issue with Thomas’ attitude since the start of the season when he was berating MvE and then getting in his way.

You sure you don’t have an issue with his attitude because you don’t rate him as a player?

It’s pretty normal for players to get angry with each other during games, surely.

Yet no one else does it or has in the last several years under Robins I can remember. Genuine question: who was the last player of ours who has to be dragged away from a team mate? I can’t think of any.

Robert Page kicked Michael Doyle in the face in training and knocked out his two front teeth.

Very good teams will be strong enough for teammates to call out poor performance, and poor decisions. The best work team I ever worked in we would call each other out had some blazing rows, but also the best laughs and best results, always had each other’s backs. Years later I’m the only still at the firm, the rest have all moved on some now overseas, but we all still keep in touch.
