Madness how fast his career has spiralled downwards.

Half expecting him to be back at MK Dons within the next 3 years.

Feel sorry for him, I suspect there are mental health reasons behind his decline and I don't think the clubs he's moved to since Spurs will have helped that at all, probably made it worse.

It had quite a swift upward trajectory as well.
What the hell has happened? Was some player at one point.

One on the only Sixfields matches i attended was a loss vs MK Dons. Dele Alli scored from almost the byline. probably one of the best goals i've seen live.

Crazy.

Clearly something not quite right between the ears, it was evident for a good few years he has the ability.

England’s starting #10 at the 2018 World Cup! (But apparently it was one of the best squads in the world)

Why does it always have to be mental health? Surely millionaire footballers could just either be shite and found out or lost their hunger and desire not needing to earn. It could be mental health but speculating on cases without professional suggestion or diagnosis is all a bit tabloid sensationalist and detracts from genuine cases.

Been a remarkable fall from grace, really. No doubting he's a player who had a lot of talent, and with a lot of potential. Unfortunately it seems any potential he had has long since gone to waste for one reason or another.

I wouldn't be surprised if he just retires and does something else.

Saw his goal here.
Nowhere near as good as I thought it was but it was a nice volley.

I get that, i was being flippant, as the point is if I was rich I wouldn't have that motivation and wouldn't work, which equally wouldn't mean I was suddenly suffering a mental health issue, simply that i no longer needee to work and that's the flip side of the argument. It can't be both ways.

The implication of what you're saying is that footballers are motivated to become elite footballers for the pay and rewards, unsurprising for a Tory but I think there is much more to it than that

Strange, I thought you had blocked me. But as you've replied seems you must have unlocked me at some point to have a check in. Rent free though yeah.

I had a unblocked all, but a few others hone on and you'll be added back. Guess you've moved on to looking for new fights as nobody to argue about tickets with now that they're always available ... as they always were but an excuse removed for people who don't go anyhow. Bye.
