That gets me every year. The amount of young faces and photos on there always surprises me, such a shame.
RIP to all of them.

Somewhat surprised that Sly Dunbar's passing hasn't been mentioned here yet.
An extremely talented drummer, and influential producer alongside Robbie Shakespeare.
Sadly missed by many in the industry, no doubt.

So many iconic roles, and a brilliant writer as well. Seems she was being treated for cancer but didn't want it known.

Sad news, but I have to say, this was the only commentator that I always put on 'mute'. Couldn't stand his inane drivel and Manc accent.

One of my absolute favourite actors. My best remembered clip was from 'True Grit' with John Wayne. The Duke shouts out across the meadow, "Fill your hands, you son of a bitch!" They gallop towards each other, guns blazing! Brilliant! So sad he's passed away, but leaves a fantastic film legacy.

The Outfit, with Joe Don Baker, Robert Ryan and Karen Black. Based upon Donald E Westlake's (Under pseudonym Richard Stark) Parker book of thd same name, like Point Blank, the rights did not allow them to name the character as Parker, so used Macklin in this case. Very pulpy and gritty. Great example of an early 70's crime thriller, goes well with Peckinpah's The Getaway and Bring Me The Head of Alfredo Garcia, and Michael Ritchie's Prime Cut.

Duval was in some of the pivotal films of the 70's, and some pretty memorable ones after. Boss Spearman in Open Range comes to mind. Very, very underrated western. Like Hackman, he enhanced almost anything he was in, regardless of how small the role. A bit of a legend.

I read a great quote made about Jesse Jackson a few years back…”he loves humanity, hates people”.

Rob Grant, co-writer and creator of Red Dwarf.

Think this one was pretty unexpected as he was only speaking recently about talking with streaming services about a potential new series and has a new Red Dwarf novel coming out shortly.

Saw Rob Grant at Norwich Playhouse about 10 years ago when I was stewarding his stand up comedy gig. It was a genuinely awful event. Somebody must have told him that he could do stand up when he most clearly couldn't.... The poor bloke just about had a nervous breakdown on stage and, at the interval, nearly half the small audience had seen enough and walked out.
I felt so embarrased for the guy as he simply didnt know what to say next and resorted to paper notes on a lectern reciting the sort of smut you would hear from 12 year old schoolboys.
Regarding his writing of Red Dwarf, I can't speak highly enough of his obvious talent. A show I absolutely loved!
RIP Rob Grant

I'm speechless. Well, tongue tied. Hope he's having fun, fun, fun in the sun, sun, sun.

Heard he passed away peacefully in his jeep.

I'm hoping there'll be a Welcome Back Rob Grant do after his funeral.
