Face is vaguely familiar. Never watched a single episode of Cheers. Never appealed to me, but I believe I've seen him in other things. RIP.

I can't believe he was only 76! He seemed about 60 when the series was on over 30 years ago (possibly due to his size and apparent general lack of health).

Great author (have read virtually all of his but not for many years, although I have a couple on my Kindle which will complete the catalogue).
Despised his politics, but notwithstanding that, rest easy sir.

Brian Wilson - Beach Boys, 82.
That’s up there with a Beatle or a Rolling Stone dying.

That's really hurt me. Such a genius and giant of the music world

I knew it was just a matter of time.

RIP Brian, the last of the brothers Wilson.

Saw him at Glastonbury 20 years ago and he looked out of it even then. Someone crowdsurfed on a surf board and he looked completely terrified.

Yeah. I think you may have caught them around the same time I did.

He was completely lost and his "doctor/therapist" had him drugged up to the eyeballs.

Once they managed to get his hooks out of Brian, Brian became so much more like himself again.

Saw a documentary a while ago and he was the Brian everyone remembered, albeit, his speech was a little slurred and his mind not quite as sharp as it once was.

I remember seeing him at the concert for the Queen's golden jubilee (or was it her birthday party?) at the Palace. He was dressed in a suit and tie and sat on the stage with a Bontempi organ. Didn't have a clue what was going on. Their sound back in the day was a quantum shift in the type of music being produced, but probably isn't given the same status as the Beatles or Stones from the same era.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Katie Price on this list before too long, she does not look well at all.

Serious cocaine problem, amongst others, I suspect.

Yeah, saw him in Brum in 2005. He was great, well the Wondermints, his backing band were great. Brian was struggling a bit, bless him.

Ooh, that makes her pretty cool then, because she was also a huge fan of Nirvana.

Her favourite album of theirs was Bleach.

Bit late to the party on this one. Norm did get some absolutely brilliant one liners. Personal favourite...

"Room for another, Norm?"

"No, but I'm willing to add on."

And Brian Wilson gone too. Music is all about personal taste of course, but the Beach Boys are right up there for me.

And 'Good Vibrations', what an absolutely incredible song, though that word hardly does it justice. I've seen it described as a pocket symphony, which is about right imho. Must admit I'm a wee bit sad on this one, it's some talent that bloke had. RIP.
