Sorry Nick. Never watched Hollyoaks or even heard of Paul Danan, but respects paid to someone so young to pass away. Tragic.

I liked him, but he carried a lot of excess weight. That must have been a heck of a strain on his heart.
RIP Michael.

One of my all time favourite singers from the 60's. My absolute favourite track is "The Ballad of Lucy Jordan", the great Dr Hook song. She sings it with great passion. RIP beautiful lady.

He was married to Linda Reagan who played yellow coat April in Hi de Hi. No wonder he lived so long married to a sexy woman 17 years his junior. Jammy Sod!

by all accounts a really nice bloke. helped yootha joyce with her personal problems, and they became great friends. he was at her bedside when she died.

watch an episode of g&m next time one comes on. genuinely funny, and seems to age better than most old sitcoms.

rip.

G&M was set very close to where I lived - ironically we used to play in that set of houses while they were building there - no fences in those days - no thieving gypoes

John Cleese was only 36 and Prunella Scales 43 (though Sybil Fawlty was supposedly 34!) when Fawlty Towers was filmed. I assumed they were firmly middle-aged (50s generally)!
Same with things like Terry & June. who were supposed to be in their late 40s, but could have easily passed for 60+. I had no idea that shitshow of a series didn't finish until 1987!!!
