Was brought up in the pub trade and the characters are so well observed , we even had a couple of coppers come in when mum and dad ran the climaxOne of the most underrated comedy programmes: great cast and script.

I still dig the dvd out on occasion. Utterly brilliant.I've rewatched it at least three times over since it came back on to iplayer, it's an absolute gem of a programme.
One of the 'old school' albums my two girls know so well due to me doing just that.My Dad played ‘The Road to Hell’ album obsessively when I was a kid.

Try Dancing Down the Stony Road. It's proper Delta Blues-style for the most part, inspired by his struggle with pancreatic cancer around the turn of the century, and as such might be seen as a hard listen - but I absolutely love it. Probably the best thing he ever did (IMHO of course).Can only maybe list 5 or 6 songs of his off the top of my head, might look at this album tomorrow.
