Oh wow - Thought he'd gone a while ago.
Might be getting him mixed up with Geoff Strong another ex Liverpool player who came to us at the end of their career like St John.

I know she was a Royal (I’m not quite ‘anti’ just a bit meh)
But I think she was considered quite popular as a squad member from the ‘second string’.

I went to see them live at the Coventry Theatre. It was just as they had released Crime of the Century.

It was the first album I ever purchased.

To be honest I was too young to watch pre 1980 and couldn’t be bothered once they split.

Crime of the Century is a truly iconic album. Angst, despair, pointlessness of pursuance of education to fit into a drone existence.

They all had themes and were all classic albums up to the split,

Hodgson and Davies fell out to the same extent as Gillian/Blackmore and Walters/Gimour

It became absurd and tragic as it denied fans of great music. They had to mix lead vocals on every track. Hodgson said he included one of Ricks on the greatest hits album as he felt sorry for him and on it went.

I was booked to see Hodgson (as he remained immensely talented) at Brighton in 2020 but it was cancelled due to Covid

Thd best Prog band ever ruined by personal splits.

There was a Cov based prog rock band out there in late 60’s early 70’s called Indian Summer. I saw them supporting Free at the Lanch. The lead guitarist was excellent. they never quite made it, but did release an album. Keyboard & singer, bob jackson, still playing now, I think with Badfinger. (yeah, I know, not great for a keyboard player to have a bad finger…)

You and me both. That was the first gig I went to - a great start.
Also saw IS at Foxford School shortly afterwards, and have their one and only album.
They had the same manager as Black Sabbath at the time.
Yes, I believe Bob's still going.

Absolutely gutted.

Was lucky enough to watch him fight Pendleton, was there for the momentous night against Kosta Tsyzu and travelled out to Vegas for the Mayweather fight and bumped into him in New York New York the night after the fight.

Absolutely iconic fighter and the boxer I followed the closest.

Thanks for the memories Hitman and hope you’re finally at rest.
