Yes love Cheers and currently watching all the episodes (alternating episodes with Frasier every night). Coincidentally just got to the point where her character takes over from Diane. Can’t find any recent decent sitcoms so well written as these. Apart from The Detectorists.

Try 'This Country '

Similar vibe to The Detectorists.

You're obviously a man of Taste, Otis.

(They were a great band too, if you see what I did there).

Taste were immense; Gallagher was the best guitarist ever.

Best track by Stevie Ray Vaughan? Gotta be "Tin Pan Alley". My favourite, anyway!

Still can't believe Nurse Gladys has gone.
And I went straight to Dan McCafferty's hair. Couldn't miss it really!

A lot of really likable people gone this year.
Let's hope 2023 redresses the balance a bit and we lose some right badtards.

I clearly missed this as only just saw it mentioned on tonight's boxing but ex-heavyweight Mark Potter has sadly passed away of stomach cancer.

Might not be a name that trips off the tongue but for me he was involved in one of the greatest fights I have ever seen against Danny Williams which has an amazing final round:

Terry Hall: lead singer of the Specials dies aged 63

Having survived a tough childhood in Coventry, Hall became one of pop’s defining voices at the turn of the 80s, chronicling British decline and disfranchised youth with the 2 Tone band
www.theguardian.com

Quite a lengthy and in depth piece for someone who's death was announced 30 minutes ago.

I went to school with him. Never really knew him, but would see him knocking about here and there at breaks and in-between lessons. So sad.

I know he wasn’t known for being a City fan but I’d really hope the club arrange at least a tribute to him before the game on Wednesday

He did a lot to put the City of Coventry on the map - Very very sad news
