Jack Charltons died , might not ever have been the prettiest football but watching his Republic of Ireland team with my dad provided me with lots of happy memories as a kid

Uncompromising centre half. Never pretty as a player or manager but effective as both. Made the most of his talents and Got the best out of his Irish team. Will be fondly remembered by friends and ‘foes’ alike.

Always made me smile when he called Bobby "our kid". One of the great footballers was always "our kid" even when he talked about 66.

Saw him live in the late '90s, really strange gig. A mere Shadow of his further self but the crowd were willing him on and just to see him there at all, even as a little scared old man, was amazing.

At his best, had a soul and emotion to his tone few could match. RIP

That trip he went on.
Did amazing I think to come back from that , even if not his former self.

Both brilliant and beautiful.

I liked both her and her sister.

Her career spanned more than 50 years and she was the last surviving star of Gone with the Wind.

Means something to me but for different reason - as a Trekkie thought he did a good job in the fan series ST Continues. A real shame as he was so young.

For longevity a customer of mine who I thought had passed away years ago, asked another customer could I clean her windows ? After I recovered from shock found out she was still in her home aged 98. Some just go on and on, another one died aged 101 !
