Doug took his time and looks like he’s made the right decision. I assume he was also explaining his vision and plans to Lampard because Frank could surely have gone elsewhere and chose us. Hopefully that means he is committed to giving a good go at the project here.

I'm sure Lampard would want a potential promotion on his CV with us.

Plus the jobs likely to be coming up in the PL would probably be:
- Nottingham Forest again (Basket Case Club due to Owner)
- Man Utd (Doubt a Chelsea legend would take United hot seat also cursed job)
- Wolves (Perennial relegation scrappers)
- Villa (Only team I can see but our historic rivals so would he go)

I'm not sure any take his fancy and does he want to manage abroad?

Whilst he is quite rightly a Chelsea legend, he respected SAF greatly and wanted to replicate some success there. Lampard I would say is a bigger legend for Chelsea and doesn't have that link.

Doug, if we’re up there in Jan still you know what to do - get the big credit card out, give Frank and Dean the pin and just walk away. Let them get in who we need to get us over the finish line.

Yeah they were chanting about being sacked in the morning.

I just don't see the pull for Lampard to go to a club owned by a irrational trigger happy despot.

I know the PL is the big draw but Forest most likely won't be there next season.

Sky blues tinted glasses firmly on but I can't see him moving on to be a club's third manager of the season before the pumpkins have been carved
