He got two hat-tricks that season and every goal was a header

That Wednesday game had me thinking we were going to do something special. We played Sutton in the cup a few days later.

They were genuinely talking about us as title contenders until about Easter.

We won an evening game against Arsenal 1-0 in about March that I'm sure put us third. We just fell apart a bit at the end.

Probably my favourite season, and the first one where I attended regularly.

The lobbed goals he used to score were unreal, after the one at Forest I seem to recall a lot of home fans applauded! Interesting that he and Gary Bennett both played in the cup replay, when we won 5-0! Helped by the most obvious red card (for the elbow) I've ever seen Didn't go to that but must have been an awesome night.

That wasn't the infamous one where he threatened to bare his arse in one of the local shops was it?

I think Slaven's pledge was that if he didn't hit a certain figure for the season he would bare his arse in the window of Middlesbrough's department store - Bindons or something?

Sure it wasn't;

"If I don't score this many goals this season I'll bare my arse in that shop window!"

"It's been done"
