Terminated his contract with Notts County and by mutual consent and has joined... Kings Lynn Town.

I was proper excited when we signed him. Seemed like we'd been after him for years and everyone kept on he was going to be amazing. Shame injuries got the worst of him.

Was fun when he came on against Bournemouth after he'd been out for months, signing "we thought you were dead" and cheering every time he touched the ball!

Scored some of the best goals I'd seen in recent years. Good luck to him.

Presumably he & his agent negotiated a pay off of some sort., he could have sat on the contract otherwise.

Shame, waste of some good talent.

I'd hazard a guess that it's his injury record that has ended him up there. Always had the ability to be a Championship standard player, just that being unlucky with injuries has prevented that.

A month maybe. Definitely not each week I wouldn't have thought. Maybe the lower end, £200/week.

Hardly need the money considering the contract payouts hes had for doing nothing the past year and a bit maybe longer.

Good Luck to him but too injury prone.

Who gave him the worlds longest contract?! Am I right in thinking this was during the crazy Ken era?! Coleman in charge too?

It's a shame. I was all for keeping him. He played well the couple of games I saw him last season. How old is he now?

With his injury record we were right to get rid. You can't be paying high wages for someone who only plays 40-50% of the season.

2008/09 - 8 starts 1 subs out of 16 games
2009/10 - 22 starts 8 sub out of 49 games
20010/11 - 21 starts 2 subs out of 49 games
2011/12 - 20 starts 9 subs out of 48 games
2012/13 - 2 starts and 5 subs out of 58 games

He's 30 now

Just scanned the Cov Tel story, he is only 30 but seems to have a plan to take coaching badges while playing at a lower level, so quite sensible.

My first thoughts were that he could have got a decent pay per play deal in at least Lg2 or Conf, but on the last few seasons he will probably earn more on £200 per week at Kings Lynn.
