Hope he's OK combining this role with running his Earlsdon butchers shop

Might still have some of his royalties from Duran Duran to support that.....

And Duran Duran if they're still touring, busy man but he's hungry for success, like a wolf if you like

That did come to mind! I hope it’s not a three year plan or bust.

Hasn't John Taylor been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Dave Boddy was Chief Executive so wonder if there is someone else coming in as well for that role? Or is it just Doug?

King is Executive Chairman so he'd effectively taken over the CEO role anyway, doubt there will be anybody else

Other than his name is a source of butcher and Duran Duran related puns does anyone know anything about this Taylor fella?

What's his background?

Small point - You'd think they'd have a picture of him to go with the press release?

When you’ve got fringe players (probably) earning £5k per week it puts things into perspective.

I do hope the Club goes and recruits top quality back room staff - it’ll pay dividends in the long run.

Here is his LinkedIn for those curious. I am a bit puzzled why someone would leave a like for like COO role at a Premier league club to come to a Championship club? He only held the COO role a year too which to me says we are either paying top dollar or he is moving for family reasons. The cynic in me hopes it was not due to him not quite performing in the biggest role of his career and he has jumped while his reputation was good, before he was pushed.

Wish him well

Forest had a restructure in September and he left, similar to our departing CEO.

I don't imagine the day to day job is that different in the PL, it's not as if he's playing

I don’t necessarily see that. Think doug is quite loyal and gives people clear expectations and if they don’t match up to it he’ll move them on
