Well I think that blows the theory someone espoused about him wanting to go back to the SW cause he couldn’t settle here.

Looks like it is more to do with job security (2 years not 1). Guess he must have thought there was no likelihood of an extension at the end of this season.

Well done to him got an extra year of security, I would be interested to know if they just ripped up the contract or if he had a few quid to go?

His agent obviously has his best interests at heart, 3rd div to Premier Div.

wouldn't it have just been a "free transfer" if they just let him go. I am sure we had to pay a bob or two

Good luck to him - more secure I would say - definitely not a bad player at this level

Not particularly bothered he has left and I don't think he is very good, although surely would have been okish as back up. Can't imagine him being on much either.

I'd be surprised if we payed him off, I think it's just the way it is done these days.
