- Dench criticises Spacey film removal

Does she have a point? I can see both sides of the coin, but she's right to ask if we remove everyone from history if they've done wrong isn't she?

After all, shouldn't Tony Blair be in prison?

I agree. I think there could be a case to prevent him being in new films etc but not stop showing all he has been in (even those not shown but already filmed). There was the guy in the Agatha Christie at Christmas ...it was delayed because one actor had to be replaced but later transpired he was innocent.
And it is dangerous to try a rewrite yesterday based on today’s judgements. Should the other actors be disadvantaged just because one has acted illegally or immorally. Yes punish the individual, after a fair trial, if that is the outcome but not everyone else.

Oh and yes I believe Blair should be tried for lying to parliament and the people...and yes if found guilty should be imprisoned. Or on a day when I’m feeling less balanced he should be hung, drawn and quartered for his heinous crimes. Of course I do not really endorse the latter point.

I would like to see him quartered before he is hung.

Not sure on this one. The accused/guilty (whoever it is) has probably made some great films, recorded great songs, written a great book etc, but should the public be denied from seeing / hearing these? I think the way ahead is to stop any royalties or fees going to that person and maybe passed on to charity.
Having said that, I got a speeding ticket in the post today. Does that mean now, that I should donate my book royalties to charity? All 30p of them? :emoji_thinking:

You should only pass them on if you molested the pc (or the speed camera...whatever floats your boat).

The ticket might be for him speeding in his boat.

He's not the first 'artist' to have led a dubious life. Guess the difference is he profits from royalties.
