Nice little article in DT about Coventry boxing days performances when we were in the Prem - we were second in the table behind Manure for turning teams over - here’s the link but I am not sure you can see all cos they want you to subscribe

I remember being at the one they lost! West Ham when Boateng got sent off... Then we went into lift off when we beat Man U & Pool in cup.

it's even more incredible when you read the festive fixtures thread and realise that so many of our famous Boxing day victories never actually happened on Boxing day!

Yes, in 25 years time we will be talking about how we beat Spurs 3-2 to win the FA Cup at Wembley on Boxing Day.

That Arsenal win was one of the great days, Cedric Roussell unplayable and Highfield Road rocking

Highfield Rd the west terrace now there was a football ground. My spiritual home great memories and irriplacable!

That was the day Telfer and Huckerby I think nearly came to blows on the pitch

Never forget seeing telfer line up for Celtic to face Barcelona in the champions league him and Strachen golf partners i believe
