That's just depressed me, very well written article and fair play to the man. God articles like that really make me f***ing sick about the last 15+ years of our club, it could probably even make a great 10 hour Christmas special on Jeremy fooking Kyle, it's that wrong!!

To think of the uproar it caused when we discovered he was on £8k a week,it was a bit of a Jeremy style episode with his public bleatings and virtual tears and people wheeled out to defend him ,however i was one who did ,thought the treatment he got was too fierce and he was bloody good in the air ,just no-one could ever read the flick ons well enough.

Ultimately, I probably agree. By the end of his time with us he was very poor (if not in the pocket!), but it was another case of a player being painfully aware that the fans were on his back. He responded by trying too hard, not concentrating, and getting sent off twice. To some extent he was also blamed for the style we tended to play with him in the side, ie the big hoof. To be fair to the bloke, I was often heard to remark throughout Boothroyd's reign, "I wish we still had Kyle now, he'd thrive on having a proper long-ball manager!".

Ooh, we getting mentioned on R5 about Ken!

"There's something not right about that football club. I don't know a more soulless place to watch football. You go into the Arena and it's all Michael Buble promotional posters and that.." Mark Clemitt on R5 just now. He also said the usual stuff about Ken being out of order.

Sorry to be picky but David Speedie wasn't at the club when we entered the Premier LEague.

Excellent (although thoroughly depressing) article.

My first season as a season ticket holder was 00/01. Beat that for depressing.

That was the year I first moved to Aus; we got relegated.

I moved back there again permanently this year; we get relegated again?

It was bad enough reading today's (Saturday) abridged version of this. Reading the full article was really painful - really depressing. God only knows what the future holds.
