I don't think you have to imagine anything. He obviously hasn't got a club. SP has said there's been interest but no firm offers. You know more than SP then?

I can't imagine Cyrus has no offers, certainly a league one club will take him by the end of the window, but maybe the championship contract I imagine he wants is not that easy to get. From his perspective it is worth waiting a month to secure twice as much money.

'cmon, no-one thought Andy Whing would be a star, did they?

Where is he now?

They did. Someone once rang CWR and said he'd play for England. Christine is similar - his game isn't improving and as a defender he's a disaster.

TBF Christie has always had that athleticism that goes down well for a full back at higher levels. I think Glen Johnson is shit, and he plays for England!

Can't believe that about Whing though.

Agree with that. I like Christie, wanted him to stay, but if he goes I won't be crying over a glass of Tizer about it. I think he will get fixed up but it'll be either Huddersfield - though even that avenue seems to be closed to him now - or an L1 club. As I said in the title of the thread, I think he's being a bit silly.

I guess his agent wants him to move so he can get his cut.

Admittedly Christie was part of a piss poor defence last season, a defence incidently put together by a manager many have said is our best for years, brought in 3 central defenders and didn't get it right defensively, that doesn't make him a poor manager by the way just as it doesn't make young Cyrus a poor player because he was a part of that defence. Time will tell but I believe Cyrus Christie will do okay at atleast the next level

Overrated anyway IMO. He was particularly awful after returning from injury last season. He's suspect defensively and ain't great going forward; he's somebody that's quick and strong and just knocks the ball ahead of himself and chases it, very little ability or final product.

I reckon this story is more about Waggot needing the money to continue with bringing in additional payers than Cyrus ballsing up his career.

This is the 2nd time Waggot has gone the the media to urge Cyrus & his agent to make a decision quickly.

Anyway, it tuns out I was being cautious in my analysis of Cyrus's options & a lot of posters on this thread look right silly with their totally misjudged opinions.

Sometimes I've no idea who I am

Seems to have worked out just fine for Cyrus... And again, another one of our players moving up a division.
