Hello everyone .Another long time reader but first time poster ! Just a few personal views about two of our younger players.

Firstly Cyrus Christie. Being lucky enough to have the time, I watch the Academy team play at Allard Way. Last year’s stand out player by some distance was Cyrus. I am pleased to see that early opinions about him are mostly positive but I wonder how many people realise that he played all of last season as a centre back? When I watched him I thought what a pity, yet another in a long line of central defensive players. Unlike a succession of City managers, I believe full back is a specialist position and I am delighted to see how accomplished he is looking already in an alien position. He is young, will make mistakes and hasn’t been tested much defensively but surely he can improve and make the position his own.

Having watched Gael Bigirmana play last, year it is no surprise to see how well he is doing this year. Confident, demands the ball (Bell take notice!!), has quick feet and moves the ball on well. At the moment however, he lacks any goal threat and I believe he needs to add something to his repertoire. Maybe he needs to be encouraged to run with the ball when the spaces open up and I can assure you that when he gets near to penalty area this boy can really pick a pass.

How I would have loved to have seen Gael playing in the same team as Marlon King whose movement and control were excellent.

Anyway, two players with hopefully big futures ahead of them How long they remain with us is another matter. The motivation for this post is simply that, after 53 years of supporting the City, watching the young players blossom and progress is the only thing that enthuses me about my beloved club at this difficult time

cyrus was man of the match on sat, hope he continues to improve......biggy looks good to like to see him in front of the diamond though maybe, think the youth manager said he can play anywhere,

may need to rest them though hope we dont burn them out

They will be loaned out so teams can decide whether they want to sign them or not before long.

Try before you buy comes to football pioneered by SISU.
