On Geoff Foster's notes the comment was suppsoed to be 'So you seemed to have got it down to a tee today', but instead he simply asked Mark what he had for his tea and Robins replied 'jelly and blancmange.'

I have to say, I thought JCH spoke very well. He sounded like he'd got his head screwed on, and was very appreciative of the people he has around him at the club. That interview completely changed the way I view him.

Agree with most of this! It would would be informative and perhaps interesting to know the back story between you and G? Reading the posts of the last few months there’s obviously some kind of love in going on here, based on some history??

He’s actually quite an intelligent bloke. People speak about him as if he’s cut from the same cloth as Nile Ranger - he’s never been in legal trouble, just a difficult player to manage by all accounts

Agree, I have not been impressed so far with JCH, but I do see he has a lot of ability. If Robins can harness his energy and get him focussed we could have a diamond on our hands. I think Hiwula is another.

It's the worst thing about his game and he's fallen over now so many times with his ridiculous diving and I have yet to see any ref fall for it once.

All I does is gives the ball back to the opposition when he's in excellent positions.

I like him, but that aspect of his game he HAS to cut out. It's embarrassing.

Nah not really.

Referees have fallen for it when it mattered.

Mansfield away. Was never a penalty.
That changed our season and Mansfields season went to pot.

And what a penalty.

I have seen him tumble over at least 10 times and have never seen a ref give him anything other than a telling off.

His first thought has been to dive and it needs eradicating from his game.

The first rule Centre Forward v Centre Half:
Who is the strongest?
Who is the cleverest?
Who can take the strongest challenge and get up smiling?

Alan Smith ( Arsenal, Leicester) was on Talksport the other day saying he hated playing against Brian 'Killer' Kilcline, Apart from being a solid CB he said even after 2 mins Killer used to sweat so much that when he tried to grab Killers shirt his hand just slipped off coz of the sweat !!

Killer got a good mention in a piece I read the other day about Jon Beck's Cambridge and when they started to get "found out" at a higher level: Route One - theBlizzard.co.uk

“We played off other people’s mistakes. But the better people you play against, the less they give you the ball back. We were that good that we were able to dominate teams even playing that way but the system became predictable,” says Claridge. “I can remember playing Newcastle. Brian Kilcline was marking me and I don’t think he came within 20 yards of me. He knew where the ball was going before we’d even played it. I said to John at half-time, ‘You’ve got to change this,’ but he just wouldn’t. It was a massive opportunity missed.”

Get yourself to a few away games and you might change your view of him.
