Geoff Foster said Palace scored in the 40th minute and the commentary team have maintained that we have been one nil down for a full 10 minutes.

Stuart Linnell in the studio queried them on the score as he was saying the BBC and Sky were saying it was 0-0 at half-time. Geoff Foster maintained that it was 1-0. Linnell then said the Beeb and all the reports must be wrong.

They then went back to the ground and the CWR team admitted that they weren't watching and assumed that City have resumed the game and kicked off after the goal when in fact, a foul had been given and it was merely a free kick.

Couldn't believe what I was listening to, how could they miss a kick off?

Good news though

I was forced to switch to Mercia when I gave up on getting any kind of reception from CWR. Sounds like I'm not missing out, the Mercia guy and Dave Bennett had it right in seconds.

And now to make matters worse Martin Winch has just said the City goal that's just happened was after Joe Murphy failed to deal with a cross!!!! :jerkit:

Honestly I listened on Mercia, and its a far better reception for one and I think most of the time the commentary is better, although I do like Clive Eakin.

Have CWR on this morning and they have just announced that PM Neville Chamberlain has arrived back in the UK today, holding an agreement signed by Adolf Hitler which states the German leader's desire never to go to war with Britain again. Peace for our time, apparently.

If you think that was bad - I was keeping up to date with the score on the BBC Football website. Saw City were 1-0 up then waiting for the match to end. Then it was 1-1 and I'm thinking OK, a point is not so bad. Then obviously we lost 2-1 and I was so pi**ed off. Went to bed and watched the BBC Midlands news where they announced City had won 1-0! Wife's thinking I'm a mental and had been looking at the wrong game on the internet. Looked at another website and it confirmed we'd lost 2-1.
Thanks all BBC departments that got it wrong.

From the BBC website match report ;

"Roy O'Donovan and Paddy McCarthy saw efforts fly over the crossbar for the home side before Jutkiewicz was twice denied a second by saves from Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni"

Now I know ROD is innefective but to say he was playing for Palace is a bit harsh.

3 major cock ups by the BBC. Thank christ they don't have the rights to Live premier league matches!
