I have read a couple of posts on here in other threads by people who heard something on CWR yesterday about the books getting submitted.

Did anyone hear the whole interview and did they say they have now been submitted?

Somebody misheard, it's a books discussion.

This week it's "Das Kapital One" by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels.

A searing critique of Capitalism, and how if left unchecked will lead to playing teams like Dagenham away in the first round.

Knowledgeable and very apt

Prefer this joke lord to the Wayne's world styled humor one.

Good work

From what I heard on CWR this morning (bearing in mind it was 6 a.m. and I was only half awake) the books are ready to be submitted to the FA. The guy on there said that will take a few days for them to be approved, rather than a few weeks. Let's just hope they are approved, then we can get the transfer embargo lifted, start getting new players in and looking more positive. OK, I am living in cloud cuckoo land, but who knows???????????????

Dont think it has anything to do with the FA. They need to be submitted to companies house.

Thats the latest stalling tactic - send the books to the wrong place and lose them - few weeks delay to get them back because we are probably on stop with City Link. Then have to redo them and submit them but forget ourselves and do them on un-headed notepaper - back they come again, another few weeks delay - oh fancy that the transfer window has shut, not clubs fault they got books done but events conspired against them.......yeah right

They need to be submitted to the Football League to get the embargo lifted.

Companies house can be done at a later date.

I'm sure they can be reprinted rather than rewritten from scratch.

Not possible BSB - computers and printers have been sent down to Cash Converters and due to cut backs accounts are being scribed in a hardback ledger with quill and ink. Club doesn't know anyone with a photocopier................not even Ricoh!!!

As both Company House and the Football League require signed audited accounts it would make sense that they both get a copy at the same time. What the Football League will require in addition is the budget.

The stones that Waggott and Thorn were looking under for players have been squeezed for every last drop of blood - but that is reserved for Joy Seppala - she is in fact 378 years old and why do you think she's never seen in daylight?

Didn't they say though that they were waiting on doing the deal over the Ricoh rent etc. before they could submit the accounts, because they couldn't work out the budget?

Exactly - if accounts get submitted then it means they have agreed to 'something'. Whether thats ownership or a reduced rent only time will tell. But until that gets sorted, the accounts won't be filed.

I thought it was all to do with the FA.

The fact that SISU have done sweet F.A. about submitting them

Or a third option that there is no deal to be done

been reading this all day and waited to get home to reply,

At 7.00 this morning Shane had an interview on CWR on the skyblues filling there accounts and agreeing the budget.

Basically everything has been agreed and the accounts have been submitted to the FL for approved so the Embargo can get lifted!

the word Hopeful was used, but the guy who was being interviewed (think he was the Cov University chap) said it was good news and will allow the club to prepare for next season!

Have a listen on Iplayer, its juster after 7.00 this morning! Shane O'Conners show!

Yeah thanks Lord, had a listen Brendan Guilfoyle predicts days to weeks rather than months for clearance of budget ,the club preferred to put no one up for interview.

Isn't Brendan Guilfoyle a scout for Sunderland? Or is he that ex mayor, the West Brom fan?

Now confused and bemused ,Waggots given an interview on CWR on Malcolms show in the 5.30 news ,the impression given that they're still talking to the owners set the budget

I don't think that can be right, wingy. I read somewhere at least 2 weeks ago that the budget had been agreed and we were just waiting for Joy to sign them off. I can only assume that she has lost her pen.
