Dunno about relegation, but we definitely can't get promoted as champions now.

When's the last time we have been this far adrift in a league around this time of the season?

Ever?

We weren't that far behind in the Championship were we? Seem to really it was about 6-9 points.

Not only do City have to win games, by being given behind other teams by so many points, you have to hope the teams above lose. Only City are bankers to lose games. Because everyone wants to play us. Cause were shit and we're down.

They not only have to lose, they have to all lose and lose constantly and consistently.

We need catastrophic runs for them in conjunction with promotion form for us.

Lucky for us we have a strong defence and score freely up the other end. Otherwise we would be doomed.

we have won 9 in 12 months
of those
3 were in the last 4 games of last season
4 out of 5 when venus took over

so outside of that end half of feb to end of september - and then Nov 1 to today - we won 2 games!!!

We have only finished bottom of the league once since we joined in 1919. That was in 1924-25, when we finished 3 points adrift of Crystal Palace, and 4 adrift of Stoke who stayed up. That season we did win 10 home games, it was a dire away record that did for us.

As poor as we were in 2011-12, Doncaster finished 4 points below us. I doubt we will get 40 this season. I would say that this is likely to be the worst season ever statistically.

I didn't think we'd get our regular post Christmas slump this year because, after not winning for the first ten games and then Venus, I didn't think it could slump any lower. How wrong I was!

What an exciting time to be a statistician.

To add to this, as I wrote on the Bury match thread, this season we have won only ONE point from games when we conceded the first goal of the game. Just one point from being behind, all damn season.

No idea how we'd find this out, but is that a record of some kind? Hard to think we've ever gone a whole season without picking up a single point after behind in a game....
