Had this thought the other day - just got round to posting it.

If/when we manage to get rid of 'they who must not be named', most of us agree(I think) that we need to own our own stadium. Let's assume that is the Ricoh.

Now my cunning (or not) plan. Although a lot of 'taxpayers' may not be happy, I suspect that City fans would elect enough for us to seize control and our aim would then be to sell the Ricoh to the club. I would have thought as long as we didn't take the mickey over the price, this should be achievable. What do you think out there?:thinking about:

OK - my cunning plan should have stated that City fans need to stand for next round of Council elections under say 'Ricoh for the City' group

All the club need to own is the income streams. What benefit is there to the club of owning the actual building?

it would cost at least 60m to buy,due to companies there have their own debts to be paid off.
if you want 100% control, compass would need paying off too.

I think osb58 pointed out the club just needs to buy into the IEC company to get the f & b revenue.

you don't particularly need to buy out anything so long as you come up with a workable solution that is good for everyone. I think the income streams thing can be misleading, it would be fair for CCFC to have access to matchday streams but when Fisher talks about them I suspect he's talking about the lot, other events, conferences etc.
