Hopefully of interest:

Houchens Head posted a link to it on the other one about the FL questioning Sisu. But if you're into splitting hairs then not a thread of it's own

Being a journalist, how far can you dig in terms of the new stadium? can you talk to the architects to see how far down the line they are with plans? Can we at least get a county this stadium is likely to be in because how can this affect the price? and to be honest how can announcing the location affect the price, surely saying where it would be would devalue it rather than increase because who else is looking to build a new 15k stadium on 60 acre sites?

We have interviewed the architect. They simply won't provide any information other than what the stadium might look like.

And you will see from today's story that the agents, CBRE, aren't giving much away either.

Read into that what you will...

So reading between the lines either the employees of Sisu/Otium either have nothing much to say or are so tight on information that it makes opening a Nun's legs look an easy task.

Doesn't sound like it, I think more convincing is needed.

At least it's raising questions, even if there are no answers yet. Nice to see the CT actually doing this, rather than beating the drum for one side or another.

I suspect the Architects son wanted to play with his Lego again, so they had to knock down the master design, and are back to planning with paper and crayons.

Simon keep up the great work.

I do have one question though

Could you, (or anyone at the CT) ask or confirm that ACL / CCC are happy to offer a short term rental deal for the Ricoh to CCFC and how much that would cost ?,

I dont believe that has ever been confirmed ?

Good work Simon, much appreciated this.

Good to get the ML 'three-week' quote in again - it really bugs me that he tried to hide behind the 'misquoted' rubbish rather than simply admit he said it.

Basically I think the whole article points further to how thin SISU's plan is for the new stadium. It's falling apart on both a practical 'can we build it' level, as well as the financial 'can we afford to build it' one. Not a good week for them, I'd say.

Have they been asked about flood plains, flood defences and other variables which may affect the build? may give at least some indication to location. I have asked some people I know in the construction industry who know about projects like these and none of them has heard anything. One thing is for sure, I wouldn't want to play poker with any of these, except maybe Labovitch as his face and stutters would give away an ace high.

Simon. The football league will not define what "in the Coventry Area" means.

I think they need to be pressed on their definition of this, we can't let them move the club 7 or 8 miles outside Coventry, I would think most people would find that unacceptable!

kcic said yesterday there's no evidence new ground is anything but a smokescreen & excellent work by SG and the CET suggests the same

Simple FOI request to the Local Authorities and the Environment Agency would establish this. Unlikely to have happened unless potential sites have been identified. Again, no evidence of this so far. I have carried out environmental surveys on behalf of LA's, and these can happen at a vey early stage, potential sites, or at the initial planning stage.

Good point, the FL should be able to give a limit as to how far away from the boundary of the city they deem acceptable.

Noticed when Labovich was on CWR on Friday the story had changed from not being able to reveal the location due to the danger of all those other companies who want to build stadiums in the 'Coventry area' getting in before them to can't tell you as CCC will prevent the sale. Wasn't very clear to me what power Labovich seems to think CCC have to block a land sale outside of Coventry. Almost as if they're just giving any old excuse as they aren't actually talking to anyone about any land!

Glad to see someone asking questions that anyone serious about such a plan would be shouting from the roof tops!

Thank God someone is starting to ask questions and not sitting back getting treated like idiots

After Labovitch's interview last week I would hazard a guess that he can only hold a deep and meaningful conversation with Tinky Winky, Dipsey and co about Tele-tubby land

Asked when the club would be able to reveal its preferred location for a new stadium, Ms Deeley said: “Revealing the preferred location for a new stadium would not be in the best interests of the club or in the best interests of delivering a new stadium

100% correct. In no way would revealing any tangible detail of the alleged plan be in anybody's interested whatsoever. Anyone who believes otherwise is a fool
