You're probably right, and to an extent I suppose it does annoy me, just like those that decide to go shopping instead....its just the wasps lot annoy me the most.

Having seen how you put the blinkers on when posters disagree with you I know I am wasting my time arguing but I'll give it one go. Most of those that don't go blame SISU either for the Northampton fiasco, letting Wasps get the Ricoh or overseeing our fall into this god awful league. None are NOPM. It is you that will label them as NOPM & then get upset if they decide to go to a once in a while big game saying they are unprincipled for not sticking to a NOPM standpoint they had never signed up to in the first place.

If you think they’re lying why do you keep giving them oxygen? I swear it would never get discussed half as much as it does if you didn’t keep rabbiting on about it.

So they just forget about Northampton or Wasps when we get a big game instead?

I only label people as NOPM who have gone on about giving the club money.

I don't get that bit., wasps, shopping , pub, crfc, staying at home etc etc

all amounts to the same, we are losing fans, its not even like wasps play at home on the same day as us....

I suppose that's what makes it worse. Plus the whole sixfields debacle then jumping on their bandwagon.

I have no problem with people going to watch Cov rugby. If they are local and they like both football and rugby I don't see the problem going to the BPA.

People don't go to watch Coventry City for two main reasons.
1. sisu
2 . Poor quality of football over a exceptionally long period of time, interrupted by a 3 month run under Mowbray.
..it ain't rocket science. As long as people have real cause for optimism they will go. There is little optimism for the majority.

Anyone past block 17 can' be bothered to contrabute to the atmosphere.
They then moan it is shit.

Block 14/15 were singing stand up if you love City and then the ones that are moaning can' even be bothered to do that, never got past block 17 that is the same every week.
Imagine 80% standing for 20 seconds singing that sure it would give the boys a boost.

This, 100%, if you want noise and atmosphere get into or as close as you can to blocks 14 15 and 16, last seaon someone i know had a ST for block 23 or 24 a couple of times i went over to chat late in the game and could here nothing, it was dead and lifeless, yet in block 16 it was alive and the noise from 14 15 and 16 was like being at a different game completely.

I hate all the singing.

If you want to sing, you go ahead, but stick to blocks 14-17 and don't be coming over bringing that kind of shit to block 20 and waking me up during the game.

I'd love to know what % of our excellent away following don't go to home games regularly now. Think it would be an interesting stat.

Well there is more to it than that. I've been to 7 away games but that's probably less than half of them. There's only a hardcore of 100-200 who go to all away games, otherwise people will come and go.

I'm one who only goes to away games......and these days, only the "local" ones to me which means the northern/north-west games.....

I don't go to the Ricoh for 3 key reasons...........
1. The M6.
2. The lads I used to meet up with no longer go at all.
3. The whole "stadium/matchday experience" is simply depressing as fuck

....nothing to do with ticket price, sisu or the standard of football.

Its not exactly a fun day out is it. If you want to park at the ground its a tenner. Then even if you just want a tea to keep warm its £2.50. Half the kiosks are closed anyway and the ones that are open run out of everything. Then you get to watch crap football in an empty stadium. Imagine working in marketing at the club and having to sell that.

I'm in 15 and the atmosphere there was almost non existent on Saturday. There was that small rendition of stand up if you love city and a few people some blocks away stood up so the noise does travel but the vast majority are not interested in contributing.

The reason the atmosphere is shite is because you've got too many numpties such as Otis attending, who contribute nothing but their arse on a seat. The sort that will bowl up at 2.55, engage in debate with other like-minded numpties about whether Haynes is wasted at full-back, grab a coffee at half-time and then piss off 10 minutes before the game has finished to "beat the rush". It should be a legal requirement that you consume at least 23 units of alcohol prior to entering the stadium, it would do wonders for the atmosphere.

I meet up before the game in the Horseshoes with half a dozen City fans. The jukebox is playing great rock tracks, lads are playing pool, and the banter is good.
In fact we have said pity there's a game on a few times,as we have enjoyed the couple of hours in the pub so much. I'll always keep going to games though, but to be honest if I did stop going I'd probably miss the crack in the pub more !

I am always in the ground by 2.20pm and I don't sit near anyone, so there is hardly ever any conversation to be had, so well done for getting your facts completely wrong. Maybe Jesus will forgive you.

My row and the one in front and behind (well several rows in both blocks 19 and 20) are just about empty every single game.

At least you still have the 'Pub' factor as Hill 83 and others have said most of our mates abandoned the club altogether years ago.
