That's as may be, but I don't think "revelling in the low gates" is an "ethos pervading this forum".

I must be honest though, it scares the bejesus out of me that we will lose Clarke/Wilson/Baker or anyone in January because no other revenue is coming in. I cant see them not selling someone to bring some money in. The way we are playing and certain players in particular, is attracting interest. I think at present we can get promotion, just deep down i know it will all unravel during transfer window in January.

Don't worry, Fisher said sisu will fund the losses....

In all seriousness though, does it not normally all go wrong in January anyway?

This is not addressed to any individual but the whole incredible ethos pervading this forum.

Just stop and think. How pathetic is reveling in the low gates?

Will you feel a warm glow of satisfaction when you finally win and kill off this fantastic team?

Please explain how you could you possibly expect to hurt SISU before killing the club?

The only outcome you might achieve is killing the club and SISU walking away ruffled but pretty much totally unscathed!

Is that a better outcome than you changing your viewpoint and doing a U-turn to actually support the team you all still claim to support?

No! I hear you cry! We will never give in! That would mean loosing face and letting SISU win!

Didn't I hear you criticise the stakeholders for not compromising to reach an agreement?

Show them the way lads! support your own team!

or is that too radical for today?

Like Ron said above, TF/JS have said they will fund the club. This isn't before the season started and they expected 7K through the turnstiles, its after we had commenced playing at Sixfields with the low crowds, so no excuse for going back on "their word".

Perhaps FFP will come into it somehow, maybe they have to cut the wage bill to satisfy that? I can see Fisher getting some spin statement together to blame us for having to sell them.

That is a lower crowd than some pre-season friendly matches I've seen!

& TF predicted, (fans forum 6/6/13), if we were doing well there would be at least 3,000,
time for TF's further words of wisdom

Wasn't it 3k worst case scenario and 7k if the team were doing well?

Did the figures fisher quoted just include city fans? 800ish home fans on Sunday wasn't there?

There is a difference between being proud of low attendances and being proud of fans maintaining their principled stance.

I suspect the poster you are referring to was misunderstood in this.

Wouldn't be the first time that certain posters get the wrong end of the stick.
Sadly it won't be the last either.

The gates are dreadful.
There's no two ways about it.
You'd have to be incurably thick
not to realise that the arrogance of Fisher has been rejected by vast majority of City fans and with complete justification.
His pr, charm offensive (joke) has been disastrous.
I am surprised he hasn't been sacked. Probably Joy cannot afford the Compo?

You could almost count that main stand crowd. Looks about 600 to me. With 100 behind the goal. Take away the freebies, it's sinking already isn't it.
The implications for FFP next season are looming.
If the situation remains the same you can wave goodbye to any half decent player, we won't be able to pay their wages. Clarke, Wilson, Moussa, Baker, Adams, Murphy, Christie et al, all gone.
Time for the Sixfields few to consider what they're playing a part in. They are a major part of the problem. I'm not trying to be nasty, it is the plain truth. Nobody goes we'll be back in Coventry. We would be an embarrassment for the league.

We are a selling club, we always have been. SISU have capitalised wherever possible like all previous owners, it will not matter whether we are at Sixfields or the Ricoh or the attendances...........although I fully expect them to blame the fans that refuse to attend at Northampton.

That crowd looks ridiculous, even in a small stadium like Northampton's. 1200 at the BPA which now makes for more Cov Rugby fans attending than CCFC at the latest home game !!

Those that do attend should consider whether they should join the vast majority and boycott home games.

I've took my family to all 3 home games at the BPA ! ...............A few beers around Craven Street area, top batches in the 'Hearsall' for lunch, £30 for 2 adults and 2 under 16's, another beer in my seat watching 3 straight home wins in a pretty good atmosphere. It's not the City and it's not football but it makes for a bit of live sport and a Saturday afternoon ale or 5 !

That's really interesting. Our BBC Northampton morning jock and erstwhile defender of SISU & part time CWR correspondent, SL said in response to one caller, that the TV didn't show the main stand that was nearly full. Its hard to see where 800 CCFC fans were.

Plea to Timmy. Please sell up now, you know it makes sense:blue:SOON

Just as importantly what has actually happened to Tim Fisher, it seems to be several months have passed and he hasn't uttered a word. It seems he has been silenced, the question is, whose decision was it? Has he decided that any words he utters are so toxic, that he feels it is better to say nothing, or has Seppalla ordered his silence. Surely either way he seems increasingly a lame duck CEO.

Does not really matter. The number who do go is so small it is not sustainable. It is as though the ones who do go are saying, I will back you no matter what. + They are trying to say they are the hardcore fans.

No no no no. We've only ever sold players, sacked managers, or done anything because WE RENT OUR GROUND!

It's so obvious, not sure why you don't get it.

Once we own a 10k stadium outside the city, we'll never sell a player again, we'll make a profit every year and the promised land awaits!
