Should he play or shouldn't he? Lots of divergent opinions emerging. It's been suggested his inclusion could cause unrest within the squad and derail England's chances.
As I see it, if he is excluded and England don't win, we'll never hear the last of it.
Hopefully he puts in some strong performances in the Pakistan games and is included in the WC squad.
Excellent podcast on Jofra Archer:

Changing the eligibility period to be in line with the ICC is fine, makes sense. Its the timing thats a problem. You've got an ineligible player doing well and its suddenly changed.

There's also definitely an argument when you're the worlds number 1 ranked team and can only have a squad of 15 you go with the players who have got you to number 1.

You'd have to take Willey out to accommodate him, how much that would upset the team we don't know.

He's eligible under ICC rules.
English father.

Pace bowling weakest part of the side. Not been particularly good for a while. Heavily reliant on batsmen and spin options

You pick your best players available.

If he can get in on merit ( not reputation ) then he should get a place.

Players most at risk are those likely to be making most noise.
