I do refer you to the Indian series which went the course in all matches I think

All the India fans I know were very pessimistic going into that series with a pretty green line up.

The good news is that the Las Vegas F1 grand Prix starts at 4.00 am tomorrow and I will no longer face the dilemma of whether to watch that or day three of the test

Having a first innings lead and to still lose a test match inside 2 days is incredibly embarrassing.

At least things cant get any worse!

And hopefully that's the last we see of Crawley.

Its not just Crawley, root and stokes both totalled 8 runs each in the match.

Can't really describe it as anything but a shambles. Had the perfect position to get ourselves 1-0 up and blew it with some very ordinary batting.

They never seem to learn, just throwing wickets away. Nobody is saying we should have over after over of just blocking the ball but just pull back a little bit and stop trying to smash every ball.

An absolute batting shit show!

Imo, Crawley has by far the poorest technique against fast bowling.
I'd back Root and Stokes to get runs over the course of this series, but Crawley is a walking wicket just waiting to happen, and everytime hes out it puts us under pressure with the middle order still facing the new ball.

I wouldn't mind if he could just last 15-20 overs without scoring, that would see the shine off the new ball and see the first bowling change. As it is hes doing nothing.

That was terrible in the end.

The pitch was a big factor there but there is always a danger that one so green was going to slow up in a couple of innings. It really wasn’t one to bat first on.

Good bowling first innings, the other 3 were diabolical.

Again England's bowlers struggle to put 2 innings together in a Test match.
With the current mindset they'll probably see Head's innings as an affirmation of that their batting approach can work.
Biggest criticism is that there are no shocks about the pitches or how Australia will bowl but there is no technical adjustments from our batsmen. If you want to play aggressive fine but there are still technique adjustments required for different types of wickets. eg too many batsmen getting pinned or knicked off because of poor foot movement
