My maths isn't great but I think with the bowling points they've got they now just need to score a minimum of 200 runs in the first 110 overs and its job done.Surrey all out for 147 so no batting points for them, Notts only need 6 more points to be champions
If Notts get 9 Warwickshire wickets (currently have 5) in 110 overs and score 300 in 110 overs then even if Surrey win with full bowling points & Notts lose they will end up on the same points which isn't enough for Surrey as Notts have won more matches. My maths isn't great but I think with the bowling points they've got they now just need to score a minimum of 200 runs in the first 110 overs and its job done.
Anything apart from a collapse and all out below 200 in their first innings should do it.
The first line in the membership renewal thing they sent out was about building a fucking hotel so pretty clear what the priorities are.Warwickshire are going backwards the signing of Barker blows my mind, we really need a strong batsman to support Hain in the middle and a new captain, and wile we are there a new head coach.
Pleased it's not Surrey.Notts win the county championship it’s good to see that big spending Surrey didn’t (I would imagine Notts wage bill is pretty high)

Sounds pretty similar to the way Anderson retired from international cricket.Woakes has retired from international cricket hope it’s not cricket full stop.
probably make a good few quid over next few years on the T20 circuit.Woakes has retired from international cricket hope it’s not cricket full stop.
I’m looking forward to Rob Key retiringSounds pretty similar to the way Anderson retired from international cricket.

He has probably forgotten he is a county championship player after all this time, If he plays county championship for us next season it’s a massive boost. He said international, so I assume he means what he said.
I’d love him to come back to Warwickshire for a year or two but I rather agree with what @tisza said, although hopefully that will include the Bears in T20.
His message on twitter says he looks forward to playing county cricket so hopefully that means red ball. Although he may change his mind when the ECB schedulers have him playing in the snow at the start of the season. He said international, so I assume he means what he said.

Cain says that negotiations are ongoing but as he has some free time in the winter would he like to do some labouring on the new hotelHis message on twitter says he looks forward to playing county cricket so hopefully that means red ball. Still a genuine match winner in early season conditionsHe has probably forgotten he is a county championship player after all this time, If he plays county championship for us next season it’s a massive boost.
He will add to the batting as well as he won’t face many 90+ bowlers.Still a genuine match winner in early season conditions
tbh with Cain I might need to go and check if that's true or notCain says that negotiations are ongoing but as he has some free time in the winter would he like to do some labouring on the new hotel
Pakistan have got Australia on the ropes in the Women's World Cup. 60-5
Pakistan 54-6 chasing 221 (thanks to a Mooney century)76-7 now
I certainly don’t rule them out though.
Mooney is still in and going well and Pakistan’s batting lineup isn’t particularly strong.
Pointless anyway as the players who need it don’t play domestic cricket, plus the ball is a dogs ball.Given up on the domestic Kookaburra experiment. Counties didn't like it
What’s this on RobIf anyone has a spare hour watch the Overlap Stick to Cricket latest episode. Recently we've had Piers Morgan, Boycott and I've seen the Flintoff and Root episodes, but this week's is a classic! If you're as old as me or older (53), you'll have enjoyed the characters we had in the game through the 80's and early 90's. This episode is Gladstone Small and Allan Lamb, mainly on the 86/87 Ashes tour. Seems like a 3 month piss up, spoilt by a bit of winning cricket in the middle. Tremendous!
