What are Warwickshire doing they already have a lead of 357 and still they bat on why?

Waited for Brookes to get his 50 and they bailed out. Get them two down tonight and try to wrap it up tomorrow. Ironic that Maxwell has hit his first 50 for us not quite where he would have expected it.

Fair play to Maxwell really stepping in when there was a few injuries in the squad

In the bits I saw he batted with an intelligence that he didn’t show in the blast but if you listen to the other players they love him.

Got a fairly quiet day today, will probably have finals day on in the background despite not having a dog in the fight.

England women have started well chasing 283 in the ODI. Watched most of the Aus innings earlier, thought Bell bowled well. Had to go out so no idea what happened in the last over when she went for 26.

Just lost a wicket as I typed this.

Sorthern braves were struggling on 76-8 after 75 balls then Chris Jordan let rip they set a pretty good score of 147.Looks an even game now.

Don't think I'm going to be seeing much cricket today. Don't think there's even any point heading over to Edgbaston looking at the forecast.

At my first Hundred game. It’s like a Blast game with no atmosphere because nobody really gives a shit about the teams

there’s no way the cast majority here are new to cricket despite the PR spin, it’s your typical Blast crowd

Sorry chiefdave but you are not seeing much of a contest be over by about 60 balls

Went to the hundred yesterday, bumped into loads of city fans.

Whilst it wasn't helped by the one-sided nature of the game, it didn't feel as much of an occasion as it did last year.

Both kids loved it though, and are already talking about when we go next year...

Gus Atkinson being mooted for the T20 series v NZ & good chance for India too, clocked 96mph in the Hundred last week. All format player

Also talk James Rew might be involved later on in the year

Still can't bring myself to back any team called "Birmingham".
Have yet to see any concrete evidence that it made the financial gains/supporter base increases they claimed the name change would produce.(ie evidence not put out by theirs and Birmingham councils PR machines)

Agree the Birmingham re-brand doesn't seem to have done much to the fan base. Saw more city shirts there on Sunday than any other football team, and there were a fair fewchants of "You bears".

Funnily enough though, the city fans on our row were all in Oval Invicibles T-shirts as they were winding up their Villa/ Birmingham Phoenix supporting mate

I believe it was to do with trying to get more Brum people with their kids along rather than the hopoloy of Warwickshire - went last year and enjoyed it but the cricket was rubbish and too far away from our seats

It’s quite a few games but that is a steep rise especially when the Phoenix are hopeless in men’s and women’s

The bears must be getting a star overseas for the blast.

From what I can make out the members area is no longer going to be for members for for premium tickets. they've got form for this as there's already parts of the ground that were accessible to members that are now sold at a ridiculous price by Seat Unique, a ticket reseller

Then it looks like the entire south stand, apart from one block, is being Mande some sort of premium membership

They've not actually announced anything and are swerving the question and saying to email the club

Its our old friend Stuart Cain in charge, apparently fucking up Wasps wasn't enough for him
