So England give Malan a 12 month contract and then drop him from the white ball squad for the West Indies for players they didn’t contract and they call up Olllie Pope and still continue to leave out Sam Hain.

Good news for bears fans though both Ali and Woakes left out of the 50 over squads so we may get a bit of availability in the summer from them

The plan was always to take a 2nd string ODI side. And they've likely given a few players time off post-WC, Malan being one as he has a 2 month old baby, hence why he's not in the T20 squad

I do feel sorry for Hain though, agreed.

Great signing by Lancs. Might actually see a fair bit of him, doesn't look like Australia have any tests between February and December. Should be a lot of fun seeing what he can do in the Blast.

Just some rubbish bowling from the quicks. So many overpitched and full toss deliveries.
Sam Curran's ODI career has nothing to suggest he should be your opening bowler regardless of conditions - number of full tosses he bowled took pitch conditions out of the equation anyway.

Yes he had a very poor game.

Take nothing away from Shai Hope though, his knock was a masterclass in playing the situation. He is a true modern great of the ODI game
