I’d rather have Charlie Kirk from Crewe

On our journey to Crewe as we went warp factor 2,
    Who's Charlie Kirk? Who's Charlie Ki-irk?

Because being 5'5 really held back Walsh this season didn't it

I think you may be right. This did cross my mind when posting. They were both there so many we got a two-fer ?

Or we got Billing while looking for Rob Jones, or Craig Hignett?

The days of Crewe being a conveyor belt for top talent finished years ago. Dario G was light years ahead at developing young players at one point, but others caught up.

Unsure of the legitimacy of the account. Claimed that Matty Taylor of Bristol City was close to signing for Portsmouth for £1M.

I'm pretty sure he's out of contract and set to be released, if he hasn't already been let go.

    I am sure.
It is an utter nonsense account.

Yesterday they had Huddersfield have bid £700k for Callum Camps of Rochdale.
£700k for a player available on a free seems a bit steep!

Xavi, Iniesta, Messi, David Silva, Bernado Silva, Modric, Thiago have also all really struggled to establish themselves due to their height. Annoying for them.

David Platt joined Aston Villa from Crewe in 1988 whilst Paul Edwards joined us in 1990. Whoever the scout was took a long time reporting back to Sillett.

Crewe have done well this season and over the years have produced some very good players. Robins has let a few of our fringe midfielders go Walters, Wakefield and Allessini so needs to bolster the squad, so if true why not.
l know I’d hate to have Lionel Messi in my team

Would that just lead to a chant urging him to pass FORWARD! and SHOOT TO SCORE! from all the cling-ons in the starboard rows?

I was unaware at the time we went to scout David Platt. If that genuinely was the case it wouldn't have surprised me if we had come back with Martin Platt - on a five year deal.

Didn't he go from Wratherfield to the Lakes?
Transferred due to controversy around schoolgirl romance.
John Stape wasn't going to pass that one up.
Bringing notoriety And shame on Coventry City .

OK - what I was getting at was that I don't think it would be wise, (no pun intended), to play 5'6" Tom Lowery alongside 5'6" Gustavo Hamer in our mid-field in the Championship.
