Will beat us. They have conceded something like 30 goals already. We will go 3-5-2 and try and win 1-0. We will concede a soft goal and lose.

Pressley should go if we don't pick up 3 points here.

May seem knee jerk and maybe I'll feel different tomorrow but the last two performances have let me without hope and any positivity.

The only good thing about this club is the U18s team, everything else is an embarrassment.

That's a totally pathetic statement.

The revolving door policy adopted by our club has not produced any success.

What we need is stability & continuity, SP will manage at a much higher level, I just hope it's with us!

Fans not coming through the turnstiles though could well seal his fate.

If people won't pay to watch his sides play, then he will be sacked for sure.

I'm sure that awful effort last week against Preston knocked quite a few off the gate today. A lot of people won't pay to watch one shot and a first corner in the 88th minute.

It's a good job I don't give your opinion any credibility after all the nonsense you've posted on here

Sure you're right... although tbf Gillingham was OK, and Yeovil pretty good without stellar attendances resulting!

It's always been that way, it will take a long period of consistently good results and playing well to bring people back where as a couple of poor performances see's it drop off quickly.

And lets not forget how dreadful the Preston game was, if we had put in a decent account of ourselves but lost then it still would have been around 9-9.5k imo

It is unlikely he will unless he ups his game. If this level continues he should be shown the door. That said he must be given until the end of the year to turn things round.

Problem is, it really is hard to judge a manager given the current situation with the club.

We haven't had some bad ones go through us. Adams and Dowie won promotion to the top flight and hell, even Reid took Man City to their highest position for ages until their new money turned up, and saw Sunderland right up there... but they all fail with us, without question.

So is it actually the manager's fault? Are the small peaks of some of Adams, Black and Robins just the exceptions that prove the rule? Was the start of last season Pressley's exception, much as they all managed half a decent season, and are we now just playing to par?

His rigid inflexibility is a concern. Today's second half against a weak opposition was not acceptable and yet he seemed happy with the approach.

Our budget is bigget than Crawley, Scunthorpe and Rochdale and one point from 9 is not good. Also an abject performance against Preston.

I liked Strachan despite what others think but by Christmas in his last year he should have been sacked. Thorn should have been sacked by November when we were going down.

So he must turn things round. If we are not showing improvement by December its time to go.

Yeah I'm not saying he's without reproach... the jury's still out on his ability to pick a player, for one.

Although I'd generally forgive him whatever he says in interviews as they're usually mind numbingly dull anyway, and defending your players in public is no bad thing. Do wish he wouldn't have to overcompensate with the superlatives mind you!

Thing is though, those failings were also there when all was going fantastically. The difference between Pressley and Strachan is that even though it turned out we had rather large debts, whatever you could say about Richardson after the event, he did back his manager with cash...

Point of order, but there's a fair chance Crawley's budget is more than ours? Concerns about their owners being faceless dubious entities but they do seem to back the club...

It has all the signs of last seasons slide, failure to beat any of Scunthorpe, Rochdale or Crawley is a worry.

Crewe are without doubt the worst team in the division, failure to beat them would be a disaster. Particularly as we will struggle to get more than 3 points from Bristol, Oldham and Peterborough after that.

Here I am trying to make sense of what I watched today whilst finishing a bottle of white, and watching the X factor.the first 30 minutes was tremendous compared to last week, hit the post, shots on target!! But then the wheel fell off...
second half SP must have given instructions to play 3/5/2, or 5/3/2, or once or twice 7/2/1 FFS. We are at home against Crawley!!go for it City , not on the agenda.I am not for SP out but he and the coaching staff need to look at themselves and get some Positive attitude into the team before it is too late. There is no chance with these tactics that we will get above 10th and I hope it don't happen, but crowds will be at 6000 after the Bristol Game .PUSB

I agree, the game should have been over in the first half, was Phillips subbed due to there goals? They both came from his side.
Very poor in the second half and looked scared to go forward until Coulilalby and Miller came on. Ref was shit, as usual at this level. Thank fuck Reda's back next game... Or is he on international duty?

All the budget comments is bollocks and people were using the same excuse with thorn. As Grendel says, our budget is still bigger then most and it's a poor excuse. He's got the players at his disposal to be doing better then we currently are

Think that Phillips suffered his injury just prior to the first of their goals.

Transfer fees zilch but wages I hazard at guess at probably the top 6-10 highest wage bills in the league.

Jackson
Reda
O'brien
Swanson

All will be on decent wages and probably more then any Crawley, Scunthorpe and Rochdale players.

Lets just say I'm pretty confident those players particulary will be on more then most players we have come across this season. Add to that, the buzz around with these signings. They have failed to deliver so far and the blame for that lies with Pressley.

Only Swanson has been poor out of those 4 in my opinion, you really don't think any of those 4 have delivered?

Reda 3 match suspension hasn't helped and I really do think he's dodgy at times. He's like a big mo fans favourite but wouldn't class him as exceptional yet. He's scored a few goals but also at fault for a few.

O'brien past few games been non existent and the promising start had faded away

Jackson showing glimpses of skill but jury still out.

Swanson has been truly shocking

Also forgot about Tudgay who has been a passenger and I bet one of the highest earners

Philips was trying to come off 10 minutes before SP subbed him just the usual fucking intransigence by SP again not reacting quick enough however he did take Thomas off quite quickly whe he hit the brickwall

Pretty sure it's been In print that we've halved our wage budget from last season ,so somewhere around £1.25-£1.5M.for the season .

Pressley is a league 1 manager , all managers in league 1 deal with minimal budgets , best players get offloaded to pay the bills etc , he is basically in the same position as the majority , there are ofcourse the lucky 2-3 clubs that have disposable income to pay for players .
i would imagine that coventry city still have a wage bill bigger than most smaller clubs in the league , if it was 2 million last season , 4 mill the season before , i would say its still in the 1-1.5 million region , on par with swindon town .
Most teams in L1 have freebies , has beens and kids , pressley is doing a very poor job at the moment , there are literally not many excuses left for supporters to use , lets just rememb gary johnson got yeovil promoted on 850k wage budget with freebies and has beens .

And to be fair he looked pretty useful for the first few games I saw him play.
