They were singing blue moon. Anyone know why? Or do they put their own words to it?

I wasn't taking the piss with this, I was genuinely curious (and haven't taken much notice of that arrogance thread since last night). Strange one, you would've thought the team singing it would play in blue.

It started being sang ironically at half time when it was in the charts, in the dark days where we used to regularly finish near the bottom of the 4th tier. It sort of stuck over time and then Man City decided to copy us like they do with everything (see: Poznan)

Unfortunately there are a few people on here who seem to like putting up a brick wall in the face of knowledge because they can't get over last night

I assumed that is was an attempt at sarcasm but that they'd screwed up, confusing us with a club up North. Flatterring though, and which lends substance to the "Giant-killing" hypothesis benind the Arrogance thread.

Yep, it's good to converse with other football fans! For reference, the reason why we sing Blue Moon is also on our Wikipedia page

But of course we must think we invented it, God forbid

Fair enough if we're continuing to be difficult, I was just making the point the information is readily available via search engines why we sing Blue Moon.

Thats fine, please tell me why some crewe fans come on here for so long. We have had opposition fans on here before but as far as i can remember, none have been as difficult and persistent as your lot.

I imagine it probably has something to do with getting it in the neck for so long pre game that we were there to make up the numbers, we were tinpot, couldn't sell out etc, then a combination of that and the result.

For me personally? I can't get on our own forums in my work as its blocked due to the amount of ads, but I can get on here

Although on popular pages like clubs and the like, outright lies don't tend to last long. Keith O'Neill's page had a line about his legs being 40% paper which lasted a good while...
