They were above us anyway wasn't they?

More concerned about Colchester V Shrewsbury.

Who, a few years ago, would have thought this would be a league fixture.

Who, a few years ago, would have thought a club containing the likes of Keane, McAllister, Dublin, Huckerby et al, would not in fact be playing at a 45-000 seater ground with a slanting roof and retractable pitch, but in front of 1400 people in Northampton.

Life really can kick you in the bollocks at times.

And Accrington, who are immediately above them are winning.

They've still got about 4 games in hand so they really aren't a concern to us. Colchester beating Shrews though, least that hammers another nail in Shrews coffin but I'd take a draw really to keep Colchester down there also. Can't believe we went through games like Tranmere, Notts County, Carlisle and Colchester without winning, and Shrewsbury come to think of it. Pathetic run of results

Got to agree - earlier in the season, I thought this may be where we really pushed for the top 6, before a tricky end!

Colchester won & are now level on points with City and in better recent form.

Don't think we will go down this season. I did before it started, but not now. Presley and the young boys have done a sterling job under terrible circumstances. Next season however....

Just think that they will let the more experienced, expensive players leave and not be able to sign anyone equal to them with the finances that they have.

Anyone who think we are safe are very much mistaken.

The two game at the end of March seem critical to me, we have Brentford next away and realistically that's going to be very tough, then 2 big 6 pointers against the 2 teams just inside the relegation zone. So the next 11 days decide our season for me, 3 loses and we are going to be relegation zone or just above it with the hardest run in of the teams around us and the worst form in the league and then relegation really is on. conversely we could easily beat both Crewe and Stevenage and then we are probably safe.

Beat Crewe and Stevanage and we should be safe. However, will we win both? Will we win one? I notice Carlisle have to play every single team in the bottom 4 in the next 4-5 games which means teams around us taking points off each other. For me, the worst thing Presley has done for us was to come out and publically say about 7 games ago and say the play offs were beyond us. Effectively put the boys on vacation and look what's happened.

I do have a game or in some cases 2 in hand on the teams below, so a couple of wins should see us safe. Crawley will rise, as they have about 5 games in hand, so could end up near the play offs in theory. A point on Saturday will be huge! Let's hope for 3 tho
