I'm knocking on the door of 60 (3 years to go).

It used to feel like a ripe old age when I was younger, now it feels like I'm entering the prime of my life.

RIP.

He spent some time at Coventry City in the old Cov in the community team.

Was there when I did my work experience at the city in the Keane season.

We went to the training ground one day and I remember Carlton Palmer stopping and chatting with him for a good while clearly delighted to see Shakey.

He was clearly well respected.

Was always good to me there too.

60 is no age.

RIP.

Had the pleasure of playing against him and the unfortunate task of being asked to mark him. He ran me everywhere, but when i got near to him we were having a laugh. After had a good night sitting talking to him and Dave Buust taking the piss out of each other. Was definitely a good player as as a pro and seemed well liked.

Sad news he will be missed by his family and his friends.
