1-1

Tough game.

I'd take a draw. Keep the unbeaten run going. Keep reminding myself that MR has said it's going to take time and there's still loads of work to do.

There's no instant fix here. It's a bumpy ride with lots of ups and downs to come.

Concerned though that if we do draw there'll be boos around the Ricoh today. Some people expect us to run before we can walk.

We are still work in progress and as long as we don't lose we can't get on the players' backs too much today.

It's going to take time to get it right.

Tough game

If we find this game a tough one we will not have advanced at all from the start of the season. This should be a comfortable win. I am going to Scunny in about an hour. Typical we are at home against a club that are from where I am going to be They are playing shite. If they play well against us we will be worse than most of us think.

I dreamt last night it was 5-0 to us! So I'll go for that and hope for the best!

1-1 I expect them to sit back and make it difficult for us, the onus will be on us to break them down. Crawley played on the front foot and had more possession they committed a lot of players forward allowing us to hit them on the break. This will be a different proposition.

This all worries me greatly.

Why on earth not a tough game?

It's like City supporters have these Sky Blue tinted glasses on and their fingers in their ears. It's like the three wise monkeys.

The manager has said lots of things are wrong. He's said there's load of work to do. He's said that it's going to take time. Yet we have some fans who seem to just be going 'la la la la la la ... we're going to win easily, it will be 4-0, 5-1, la la la la la.'

Why on earth should it be a comfortable win when the manager has said there is so much work to do and it is going to take time to get things right?

I just don't get it. I truly don't.

And if we don't win now I am sure the boos are going to ring long and loud because we didn't thrash poor lowly little club Scunthorpe!

1-0 cov. Think it will be tighter than most on here think but the players' confidence must be high and that will be the difference imo.

2-0 to City. Yes, Otis I agree with what you're saying - there's an awful lot of work to do, but as fans, we like to get just a bit excited about a good run, so when some guys put up predictions of 4-0 and 5-0 I'm sure it's just tongue in cheek and not a realistic prediction. I expect us to win - not comfortably - but win we should.

Hope it was a bit tongue in cheek.

Think if we win Lee has it just about right.

Hey, I can't ignore a dream!! I do think we'll win today, but not as easily as 5-0... As you say, this is Coventry!

I lived near Scunny for about 17 years. I have mates and family nearby. I know how shit they are playing. I have been told that all but 1 of their players that can do anything are out injured or suspended. A mate who I normally go to Scunny games with has told me they are hoping they don't have a heavy defeat today.

So what do you know better than the Scunny supporters Otis? Or are you preparing your excuses for if we lose........

Fine if it's a dream and not an expectation.

I don't know better than the Scunny supporters, but I do know the City and I do know they won 4-1 away on Tuesday and I do know our manager has said loads of things at our club are still wrong.

No, I don't think we will lose.

Why would Otis need to make excuses if we lose?

It is the manager who has said not to expect miracles and to bide our time.

If there were to be any excuses they would surely be from him not me wouldn't they?

The way I see it though is we're digging deep at the moment and that's part of the reason we've won 3 in a row. We're not playing great but we're doing what we have to, show fight and spirit. That in turn will build momentum you'd hope. I'm not expecting too much, I know who I support! But if they can build on the last 3 games that would be great!

I say yes, wife says no.

Contingency plan of ignoring the train and hotel and just driving down early tomorrow if necessary.

By hook or by crook!

It is a tough game but at home to a team below us in the league, I think we should go into the game expecting to win. I think you have a point about the predicting 4/5-0 wins though. I would take a 1-0 win right now

They were like us in our last game....got a result that the performance didn't deserve. Does that mean both clubs will get the result today?
