I agree with that perspective now that we have the 7 points. Tuesday was too early to be seeing things from that view IMO as we only had 4.

It's not been pretty but as I've said before, I'll take ugly wins anyday

Lets just hope we can now start to see a bit of a steady progression and start getting it together in terms of performances.

Think Swindon's going to be a toughie but how long has it been since we've been able to say we're unbeaten in the last 3 games. Lets make it 4!!! PUSB!!!!

It's not great but at least we have some positive indicators. 1 goal conceded in 3 games and 7 points in a week.

Despite what you say I think the defence was better. We held the line much better than a few weeks ago. Clark however was very poor.

Ball gave presence upfront and surprisingly showed some good distribution. Mcgoldrick is a level above league 1 and bailey looks good. Fleck started well but disappeared in the second half. Barton I see having little future at the club.

Were a team in transition, a lot of work needs to be done on & off the pitch to get us back to the level where we should be. Didn't expect miracles or for us to be playing great football once Robins came in, but 7 points from 9? I'll take that. Hopefully the players will get more confident and we'll see more composed performances, but for now the task for Robins was to steady the ship: Mission accomplished.

Have to give Robins the credit for changing it round at half time, bringing Ball on for Barton and going 4-4-2. AT would never have seen that.

I don't think we should give up on barton just yet. Rest him yes.

Have you forgotten about the 2-1 loss vs Carlisle?

Incredible considering literally no one could do better than thorn

Barton has talent defiantly he just needs his confidence boosting take him out the team for a few games then bring him back .

Pedantic. We played better in that game than today. If thorn was in charge today we would have lost.

We are in 20th, but 2 points plus gd away from 21st and only 3 points from 13th. That will do me for now.

Only 9 points off the playoffs.

I think the fact that Robins keeps changing it from 4-5-1 to 4-4-2 isn't showing that he's a master tactician. It is showing that his preferred system does not suit the squad we have. The jury is still out for me.

I assume you are one of those that prefers to play pretty football and lose than ugly football and win.

Think that would be included in the loss he mentioned?

I don't care what formation we play! I'd take 1-0 wins for the rest of the season!

Exactly what I was thinking. 1 loss, 1 draw, 2 wins. Exactly what was originally stated.

Improvement under Robins was never going to be instantaneous-but we're showing an ability at least to grind out results despite playing below par. Turning this rabble into a cohesive team was never going to be an overnight process-I'm just glad I can face watching the FLS tonight!

They'll only show the one goal, then we won't get mentioned again. That is unless Claridge is on the panel and wants to ridicule us

Calum Ball was brilliant when he came on today, that technique when he chested it an volleyed it out to Fleck was incredible. Great assist for the goal an some other good touches as well

Fleck drifted in an out of the game a bit, think he is a quality crosser of the ball though.

Moussa was better than Tuesday but still poor, so wasteful on the ball

Barton well when he ambled over slowly to keep that ball in on the left and failed pretty much summed him up

Baker had a great work rate, always looked to get on the ball an tried to make things happen. He was badly lacking the end product today though

Also Clarke was very bad at times, worse game I have seen him play in a while

I suspect he and Manish will spend more time gloating about our Thai neighbours sitting top of the Championship. Automatic promotion spots occupied by teams owned by Asian millionaires with more money than sense...

With Moussa, I can't see why we play him in the middle. Maybe that's his preferred position and has played there for his other clubs, but I find he is more effective in front of Reckord.

The biggest positive I took from today was robins ability to change the game.

Agreed, however, It does beg the question, why didn't he go with 2 up top to start with. He seems to like the 451 even though it doesn't seem to suit us.

Typical, I miss the game with flu and we go and bloody win at home! Before anyone calls me a Jonah, consider what player wasn't in the team today and wonder whether that had more to do with it..

My mate reckoned it was a much improved display, and we actually got the ball down and passed it. Praised Baker-his words "He must have had his period on Tuesday as he was in a totally different mood today!". He also said Murphy was superb and kept is in the game at times. On Ball he said "you'd have him starting every week on that showing, he changed the game". He did however hammer Bailey-"always plays the easy backwards pass, he adds nothing", and Reckord "inexperienced and naive, has pace but doesn't use it, doesn't make forwards runs like Hussey does". I thought Reckord has looked OK, but I do like Hussey..

Robins reminds me of when Coleman took over, I think we've got zero chance of progressing with yet another overly negative manager. The Barnsley fan on here had it spot on.

So a 233% increase in our points tally from just 36% of our league games = 0 progress?

Not at all. We've beaten two struggling sides 1-0. It's like the slight upturn we had last season, it doesn't change the overall picture of how dreadful we are.

You mean when we beat that struggling side Oldham who have gone on to win their two games since we played them, scoring 5 goals in the process? Some people on here are ridiculously negative.

Robbins can see what the problems are, and is working to correct them . However, there are so many areas to improve, that we cannot expect an overnight miracle change in our performances- we need to be realistic.

What is pleasing, is that we are picking up good points whilst this transition is taking place. So keep the faith, he is turning things around, who knows what we can achieve over the remaining 75% of the season - if Sisu are prepared to be patient and support him whilst this goes on.

Heyup again.

Noticed you'd won, and so I thought I'd pop over and congratulate you.

I did say Mark's teams weren't exciting to watch, but that he gets results.

He'll have you around the top ten by xmas.

Again, well done, and good luck.

It may have escaped your notice but we are the struggling side compared to the two teams we have beaten. We had not won league game for 6 months prior to last Saturday. So what is your expectation - start to win games by 4 or 5 goals. Be realistic. 7 points out of 9 is table topping form - hardly something to complain about.

Saying things like that doesn't help though Duffy. We've had a good week that's all.
